The weather was rubbish which was no one’s fault! So we didn’t get to see the grounds. But an excuse to come back.

Staff were so considerate and friendly. From the reception to the dining staff nothing was too much and everyone was lovely. Even gave us a free bottle of water and biscuits for our journey home. Had dinner there and food was great. The celebration package for my husbands birthday was amazing and definite value for money. We enjoyed the whole experience.

We had dinner and breakfast, food and service excellent. The cooked breakfast was a good selection and individually cooked for us. We had a luxury room which was quiet and spacious.

The evening meal was bland, limited in choice and expensive.

The size of our bedroom and bathroom was larger than anticipated, we also had a patio with chairs and table going out to the garden. Breakfast was laid out nicely, good variety for both English and Continental choices. Staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

The Sauna was too small and the gym suite a bit too full of machines. The Spa slot for families could be 1 hour and 30 to 2 hours long at least.

Great, spacious family lodge! Loved the breakfast and the atmosphere in the lounge. The Spa is nice and clean! I did not have the chance to try the restaurant as we went to eat outside with friends but the menu seemed to be good. The staff was very friendly and the location so peaceful!

Loved absolutely everything. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was made to perfection, rooms were cleaned everyday. Room was bigger than I expected. I'd definitely stay here again on our next visit to Cornwall.

We stayed in room 802 which had been recently refurbished, it was a lovely room but it would benefit from some coat hooks near the door and also in the bathroom.

Staff were well trained, helpful and approachable, the service was very good and the food was lovely. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed.

Surprised to have tiny plastic bottles of toiletries from China in a hotel that prides itself on its green credentials. I appreciate people sometimes take large bottles home but would rather have just one more local product of soap/shampoo fixed to the wall.

The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Great to have the swimming pool in view of the wet weather. The breakfast was really good with lots of hot and cold options.

The breakfast is excellent. The staff is super friendly. The pool has a good size and the sauna is very good. We enjoyed the bar and the restaurant. The mussels are terrific!
