Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. A very warm welcome from our hosts Tim and Sue, comfortable bedrooms and good facilities (kitchenette with all drinks and breakfast included). Location was 30 mins walk from Anfield so very convenient. The off-street parking space was very helpful.

PolandThe hosts are very nice and pleasant. They picked me up from the train. Told and showed how to use public transport, shared a list of places that I could visit. They gave me a tour of the house and offered me a room to choose from. I had an entire floor at my disposal with a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. The rooms were clean and smelled nice. They have everything you need and even more: towels, snacks, breakfasts, cats 😸. The door to the room has a lock. And a nice bonus is a skylight window.

The hosts were absolutely amazing, so very accommodating and friendly. Homemade cupcakes for one night stay? Yes please! We also adored Pico the needy cat, cat cuddles were the best.

Warm and welcoming, Sue and Tim really know how to make you feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The upstairs rooms/kitchen/bathroom are fully equipped and the bedrooms are very cosy.

It has 2 x double bed rooms, a toilet/ shower and a galley kitchen for guests. 30min walk to Anfield, 11min drive from Lime Street train station in the centre of Liverpool. Tim our host collected and dropped us and was very helpful with directions etc throughout.

United KingdomThe location - not the city centre but I knew that when I booked and the point was to be close to Anfield.
Tim the host was super helpful and responsive. He went out of his way to ensure we could find the accommodation, had everything we needed and was very flexible to our needs. Great host and great fun too! Top floor was exclusively ours (apart from the cat 🙂) and had everything we needed. We shared a bathroom between our two rooms so not en-suite but it was private and exclusively for our use. The kitchenette was well kitted out with plenty of thoughtful added extras. Whilst Tuebrook isn’t exactly a tourist destination (but I knew that having lived there many years ago) it was easy to get in and out of the city centre and walkable to/from Anfield which was the reason for our visit. Overall a great stay and very good value at £50 per room. Tim’s hosting also made a big difference 🙂.

United KingdomIf you like cats, then this is perfect for a stay. If you don't like cats, I'd probably choose somewhere else, as you do have to dodge one of them as you move between the bedroom and the bathroom.
Really friendly hosts and a really comfortable room at the top of the house. There was also a well-stocked kitchenette with complimentary drinks and cereals. Great for off road parking too.

United KingdomDecor not to our taste , too many personal ornaments and fairy lights , Harry Potter and Dr Who fans I think ) . Can be seen in pictures , not really a big issue . Expect a visit from the household cats , we love cats but may not suit everyone.
Very Comfortable and well equipped , exclusive use of 3rd floor of family home . Friendly hosts , left drinks in fridge and some breakfast items in kitchenette. Our privacy was respected and all communication via what’s app .
