We requested secure cycle storage for three bikes but the shed was full of other stuff and getting the bikes in was very difficult. We are probably not the first or last to arrive on bikes as the hotel is on a popular long distance cycle route. Provision for bike storage should be given some consideration, not just car parking.

Friendly staff, attention to detail, comfortable homely feel in a beautiful old building, full of character. A drink in the lounge area was enjoyed after the day's activity. The room was nicely set up and warm. The evening meal was exceptional and is a 'must book'. The breakfast did not disappoint. We will definitely return.

This is a fantastic facility, the accommodation was ideally situated for travel to the many attractions without covering large distances. Staff were great and the food was outstanding from an extensive menu from which everything was available. Couldn’t fault the place

Bit close to a major junction, car park too small, no footpaths on hotel side of road, so mixing it with some huge logging trucks loading the car up in the morning. But nothing can be done about that and if you pay attention you’ll be fine.

The room and floor is a bit dusty. Dropped something on the bathroom floor for 1 second and unfortunately it looks quite dirty already.

Great location if you arrive by train, just 15 mins walk from the train station. Near bus station that close to many walks. Superb as a base to explore snowdonia. Breakfast and dinner are great and staff are very nice.

No lift and we were on the top floor. The hand rail didn't reach up to the top three steps; very dangerous

The cosiest hotel ever- we arrived after a day of walking and couldn’t have asked for anything more. The room was warm and comfortable, and the staff were accommodating. The evening meal and breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had. All produce is of very high quality! Already looking forward to coming back!

Beautiful rooms, the food is amazing with a great fish selection, the owner and staff are friendly and make you feel at home. The atmosphere is informal and the Bar has comfortable chairs to relax in for the evening, breakfast has so much choice and the service is second to none Scott in the bar area and Hilary who served breakfast cannot do enough for you. Thank you All.

Bathroom was a little way down the corridor and only a wooden cupboard door to enter. Only a bath and no flannel. Not really possible to use the hose as a shower.

Breakfast was great. I loved the dinner menu too It was terrific for a three star hotel and good value for money. Loved the ambiance.

Very little space to park but this can't be helped as is on main road near junction. We were lucky to get in small carpark at side of hotel.

Quirky old coaching inn, keeping the past alive. Excellent food menu and reasonably priced.
