We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomWe have stayed before and the only issue we have had on each occasion is that the mattresses are fast too soft for us so we don't get a good nights rest. We fully understand that it is a matter for ones choice.
Breakfast on both days was very good. We had to wait some time on the second morning to be served as there appeared to be a young waitress on her own but we were not in a rush so didn't cause us an issue. Room was adequate for our needs which was nice and clean.

A very peaceful location, although we were woken up at 6.15am on our first morning,buy a member of staff dumping something in rhe bin,thankfully this didn't happen after our second night. The room, the twin on the top floor ( No8) is a nice room ,very high beamed ceiling and fairly bright. Unfortunately the mattresses were too soft for our liking,the hotel throughout is very clean and well maintained. The cooked breakfast was lovely and hot and fresh, and good quality food. Waitresses in the dining room were friendly, I would however suggest the reception staff had a bit of training in being friendly and welcoming, most were lovely, but a blonde in particular, was hard work. The hotel is well located to the town, only a short walk away from a few pubs and restaurants ( I would however call and book early if you want a meal out) as the town seems to be loosing some of them, or they're too busy for any bookings. One thing to note,there is no WiFi in the room, only in the reception area and restaurant. Overall it was a pleasant stay, would have been nice if we had enjoyed our trip on way out.

United KingdomThere is no cosy bar area to have a drink in. There are some tables just off the restaurant but not where you would relax and have a drink. We took drinks into the reception area. There was a lovely log burner but that was left to go out in the evening and there just wasn’t anywhere else to go which was a shame.
It’s a lovely property, steeped in history. Beautifully located on the banks of the river. The room was well equipped, comfortable and nicely decorated. Food in the restaurant was very good and staff friendly and accommodating

The room was so comfortable. I had asked for gluten free and the tea tray in our room had a gluten free flapjack usually there is nothing gluten free supplied in hotel bedrooms. It showed that someone cared enough. The staff were all lovely and so helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked and again gluten free products were available. The fire in the reception was so welcoming
