Nothing much.

The building is an old village pub with various outbuildings, which has been sympathetically converted and furnished to a high standard. Our room (superior double) was spacious and comfortable. There were local magazines, and a history of the village, including the hotel, in our room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced. Great breakfast - I had the vegetarian full English, husband had poached eggs.

No quibbles.

Loved the complimentary tea or coffee on arrival. We met with friends and had pre-booked a table for evening meal. The meal was excellent. The service was friendly and good. A comfortable nights sleep followed. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, always a bonus. Good coffee and again good service. The area is beautiful as is the village. We will be booking again for sure.

A real find, friendly welcome, excellent room in the old Brewery. Breakfast was huge and tasty. The village is worth a walk round. Will be back

I find myself looking for something here, but really there was nothing I didn’t like.

The room was fine, situated in the old brewery with your own access. The breakfast was fabulous, all you could want. We also ate there in the evenings. The menu was wide ranging and the food very good. One of our party of 4 is wheat intolerant. This proved no difficulty to the staff. The staff were excellent. Friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Our room was at the top of a very steep angled set of stairs, with low headroom. It's not the easiest to negotiate .

Room needs updating and a larger bed. Otherwise, it was absolutely beautiful.

Outstanding property but room is very dated with cobwebs on windows. Windows need investment and bed was quite small.

In the courtyard room we could hear the bathroom fan and shower running from next door quite early in the morning.

The food was excellent both at dinner and breakfast. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Arrived late but was handled well as the restaurant was looking to close. Room was clean and comfortable. Good shower. Breakfast was spot on.

fell in very slippery shower. did not notice mat in bag on back of door. 1 towel in sorry state. Broken on edge.Found green light in ceiling very odd but obviously there for a reason.

Underfloor heating temperature was a little too high for us but we just opened the windows so not really an issue.

The location was excellent with a car park just outside (but not too close to the door so plenty of fresh air). Lovely quiet village. Beautiful, well furnished bedroom and bathroom, very comfy bed. The breakfasts were delicious, with plenty of choice and generous portions.

Very neat and tidy overall a lovely building the staff exceptionally friendly especially Den she made us tea when we arrived and showed us our room. Our evening meal was first class as was our breakfast everyone was spot on we would stay there again we’ll done you guys 👍

For some reason the duvet did not have a cover , an oversight by a cleaner perhaps?

Ground floor room in annexe was rather public. Net curtains, or similar, would be better than having to draw curtains in daytime. TV remote needed experimenting with. Breakfast okay choice but fruit / yoghurt not highlighted (if available at all)

Relaxed ambience. Large semi private table for lunch with 4 other family members. Room spacious, with decent TV. Breakfast cooked to order was a plus. Sunday lunch good, but only vegetable was very al dente broccoli.

Really need to cater for a family to sleep in one room/apartment. Having to pay for 2 children aged 11 and 14 years to stay in their own room made the night very expensive.

Room was beautiful. Bathroom exceptional. The breakfast included in the room rate was excellent.

Nothing at all to dislike

We'd visited Burghley House during the day, so this was the ideal place to stay on our way back to Belgium the following day. Room was very nice and quiet; tea and coffee facilities; comfortable bed. Evening meal and breakfast were delicious. Staff very friendly, pretty surroundings.
