The hosts and staff are super friendly and happy to assist. The Inn is in a quiet location and the very clean accommodation with a comfortable bed, is separate to the Inn. Breakfast menu has a good selection, evening menu is varied.

I think possibly staff were staying next door, so the bedroom was above our room. Heard the walking about, alarm going off in the morning, etc. Which is such a shame as the first night I slept better than I had in a long time. The last night there was a paying family there, so noise could not be helped.

The breakfast was amazing. Fantastic choice and exceptionally well cooked. Loved the room that we were in, number 6, nice and private and very clean. The pub and village was unbelievably pretty.

I was really looking forward to some good pub grub but the food in the evening was limited to pizza. Although breakfast compensated for this.

The staff were friendly, the recently renovated rooms were spacious and very welcoming, the breakfast was amazing and was like having a private chef freshly preparing what we wanted.

There was nothing we didn't like

It is a very quiet location in a pretty village with beautiful scenery on the drive there. Breakfast is the usual with cereal, juice, tea, coffee and a choice of cooked food all tasty. The bedroom is nicely decorated with a comfy bed and everywhere was very clean. The ensuite is up some stairs which is fine unless your mobility isn't good.

    answered above.

Location a bit further away from Fairford Airshow that we thought, but we met other folks whom were also attending Airshow. B`Fast was excellent & very filling for a long hot day ahead at Airshow. PIZZA only was the ONLY choice for Dinner (good flavours choices) but disappointing with NO other selections!!

The web-site currently mentions an extensive food menu so things may have changed since we were there or they may not have updated their website - phone ahead.

A beautiful old pub in a lovely village. Twenty minutes walk to the National Trust car park which then leads on to the Uffington Castle and White Horse site. Not bad location for walking the Ridgeway. Dinner was pizzas only but the pizzas were superb and we didn't need the starters which we normally have when we are staying away. The web-site currently mentions an extensive food menu so things may have changed since we were there or they may not have updated their website - phone ahead. Breakfast was superb. The rooms are located in an outbuilding right next door to the pub.

Were only serving pizza and chips in the restaurant as they were short of a chef but the pizza was good and there was a small choice.

It was perfect other than they didn't at the time I stayed, have a chef for 'proper' meals.

Extremely clean, self-contained unit adjacent to the pub. Room appeared freshly decorated and was spotless. Only downside was that the pub didn't do meals (they did do wonderful pizzas but that was the only thing on the menu). I left before breakfast so cannot comment on that. Pub was beautiful in quiet location.

Just to say,no public transport,no village shop, but as long as you got your transport in and out arranged no problem. The accommodation is in a new annex to the side. This is all OK but just mentioning. Lovely location and nice, friendly helpful staff.

Its over 500 year old and very beautiful. Its like real history. It's within walking distance of The White Horse and part of the Ridgeway.
