The room was quite small and became very hot. When we asked to change we were told this was only possible if we paid more. The cleaner turned off the bathroom towel rail which helped a bit. At £177 per night I would have expected a bigger room with a more luxurious feel. It would have been nice to have access to a breakfast buffet as well as the cooked options. It was continental OR cooked.

The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and very well cooked. The room was clean and well equipped, the bed was very comfortable. The locations is excellent, overlooking the sea.

The sash cords had perished to the windows in our room, so we had to use door wedges and coat hangers to hold the window up enough to let some air in. The quality of the details like tea tray/biscuits/toiletries has sadly gone backwards from previous stays to more 'cheap and cheerful' which slightly detracts from the premium brand/price point we have enjoyed in the past.

Fabulous location, but then we knew that as we have stayed several times before. We didn't eat there other then breakfast, which was very good.

We were out a long time the second day but our room had not been cleaned which was a bit disappointing.

The room was a good size and clean. We really enjoyed the breakfasts and there is a nice atmosphere about the hotel which makes us keep coming back

The shower was just a dribble! Hard to wash shampoo or soap off! Lift not working.

We found the shower in the bath quite difficult since we are quite old and prefer walking showers now! But we managed and didn't fall over!! The different floor levels were also a challenge but it didn't spoil our stay.

Everyone working in the hotel was a delight. They were most helpful, anticipating all our needs. It was a lovely weekend 😊😊 Thank you 👍💐💐

Room and bathroom felt very tired and the furniture was rather cheap looking compared to other hotels we stayed at. Lift was out of order, which wasn't a problem for us, but could be for some.

Breakfast was tremendous. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was very good and well priced. Staff were very friendly, efficient and well trained. The position is tremendous, overlooking the sea

In some places the building was a little tired. As it is a combination of several adjacent buildings there were quite a few steps (up and down!) to be negotiated to reach our first floor room.

Great location directly facing the sea. Very pleasant public rooms including two restaurants: a 'brasserie' located in the room where breakfast is served and 'Sea Spice' (Indian). The food was fine in both, the latter being particularly crowded. All the staff we dealt with were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good; all served and a wide choice. Parking was easy and free - though might be an issue in the summer. Our room (at the back of the hotel) was okay, though a little small. The bathroom was quite large and light. Daily service with clean towels.

Tap water in room was marked as unsuitable for consumption (bottled water was provided but not enough (2 very small bottles). Literature said you could go down to the dining area for bottle refills but we did not feel that was an acceptable solution after we had settled in our room Poor tea/coffee making facilities, compounded by lack of suitable drinking water in the room. Room and bathroom, although clean, felt a little shabby.

I struggled to unlock the door of my room!

Room - the bathroom was spacious with a good sized bath. The bed was very comfortable with really firm pillows and the drink facilities were good. I appreciated the bottles of water and also there was enough milk for the numbers of cups of tea that I had.

The portion size of the dinner was too big. Need to give smaller portions then there would be less waste.

The hotel was in a perfect location. Parking was okay could park on the street outside the hotel for free. The breakfast and dinner were delicious.

Hotel was being painted so paint fumes in corridors around our room ,also m6 friend go5 pain5 on her new jacket from wet doors , staff apologised and changed our room away from paint and paint fumes and took jacket and managed to get the paint out which was good but had to stay in the hotel in th3 evening as she didn’t have anothe4 jacket / coat to wear out .

The lift was out of order throughout my visit. Several other guests were walking with sticks and had to struggle up the stairs which was unfortunate.

Excellent breakfast options although no breakfast buffet so everything had to be brought by the waiting staff.
