The staff at breakfast were really scruffy and looked like they’d just rolled out of bed and not showered with beards and hair everywhere. Shirts all untucked, creased and not ironed which didn’t give the best impression when serving the food so didn’t eat there again.

Great location and room was really comfortable with great clean facilities. The night staff, a Scottish gent was lovely.

The meal options on the dinner menu were very limited in regards to gluten free and there is no children's menu either which was a bit frustrating as my 9 year old was with me. However, the breakfast was yummy and they did cater for all ages and they could accommodate gluten free for the breakfast.

The staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome. The room was lovely and clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Parking was a bit of a problem

The hotel was clean and the staff was extremely helpful, I had an accident whilst there, not at the hotel but in town, Sara on reception gave me a walking stick to help me out. Which she didn't have to. Overall excellent stay and staff.

Reported lights out in the bathroom only had 1, so it was dark 10 minutes after check-in. Was told maintenance will sort this. And nothing was done at all during the stay. Don't see why you should keep reporting things .

Location is perfect. The hotel is dog friendly so will return .

    - Parking is first come first served and it was very busy during our stay, it said a charge of £5 per day but we were charged £7.50 per day. - Our hotel room was very warm and you couldn’t adjust the temperature yourself. - Walls are very thin, could hear people in the next room in the early hours and people shutting doors in the corridor. - Breakfast was lovely but limited options other than a full English (which was lovely) however would have been nice to have some fresh fruit/bananas.

Really good location, easily accessible to Windermere centre. Staff were friendly and our room was beautiful, very clean.

You could hear people walking around in other rooms, the floor boards where very creaky and could hear a couple snoring in the next room.

We had to wait to check in, also the way to our room on the third floor was very confusing and long to get to. All the doors need to have some sort of cushioning to stop them from slamming/being noisy. In the night the doors were being slammed and the floors are very creaky whiched caused a lot of noise. Also there are VERY thin walls too which did disturb me and my boyfriend through the night. You could hear next door sneezing and taking a shower. The room was perfect though.

On arrival the staff were very welcoming. The breakfast that was included in our price was really good quality. The room was beautifully presented, clean and had a view of the lake.

Location was perfect - views of the lake from the entrance (the view from the room was a car park but we did not expect the best room as it was a pet friendly one) Breakfast was lovely and the breakfast restaurant felt 5 star (I do like to have a pleasant room for breakfast) Although dogs are not allowed in the main part so maybe leave pooch in the room at breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful Short walk down the hill (3 mins) to the shops and a further 5 mins and you are at the ferry port on the lake

There are areas looking a little “tired” and maybe in need of some TLC. A bath would have been nice also. It is also very warm upstairs but thankfully there was a fan in the room.

It’s a fabulous commanding building with a great view of Windermere. Comfy bed, lovely bathroom, great coffee machine.

A bit scruffy in hallways. Carpets need a shampoo and walls painting. Brightening up, paintings etc. just lacking a bit of colour and style. Foreign receptionists need some training in customer service. Need to be told to smile at customers. They look miserable and a little too casually dressed.

Rooms clean and modern. Very quiet at night.
