Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room was modern and clean, absolutely perfect location, and friendly staff. A special thanks to Bruno who took such good care of us. We always looked forward to seeing him. The hotel is very close to the London Eye, Trafalgar Square, and the theatre district. We absolutely loved the location.

The room was very modern and the basics were covered. Too often hotels cost the earth and they’re tired and outdated with terrible plumbing. Z Hotel delivers on modern amenities which is a big thumbs up.

SwitzerlandThere was a teintes window in the room but there is no possibility to open it even slightly, would have be nice to be able to open it to just refresh the room with fresh air at some point but the air co worked perfectly fine!
Great location, very confortable bed and pillows, free tea and coffee in the room, all very clean and really quiet room for great sleep! It didn't bother us but it is unusual to have the bathroom very next to the nightstand only divided by a tainted glass. You could slide the tainted door to have "some privacy" but still not quiet that ;)

Everything! Hidden in an alley that's gated after a certain time. There's a release button by it. It's easy to book, the room was spotless and it was just what we needed. Honestly, I love staying in a Z hotel all the complimentary teas and such as a blessing in the morning.

United StatesSmall room, but we fully expected that. We had a (larger) queen room with a window, and I imagine that other rooms were even smaller. The bathroom and toilet, as others had well noted, offered little to no privacy. There was no closet, and five or so hangers on a wall were the only way to hang clothes. We happened to have a bungee clothesline from an earlier part of our trip, and this item proved very useful as a supplementary way to hang out clothes.
Excellent location that was convenient to attractions, restaurants, Covent Garden, and Underground stations. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed, clean room, and coffee, tea, and filtered water. The room was small but the price was low for London, so overall the hotel provided excellent value. My wife and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

No wardrobe, wife had to climb over me to get out of bed, no where to put the case as it was either on the floor so you could move or on the bed which meant no where to put your clothes. Definitely not a place where you need to get ready for a wedding! And for that price I could have had one of the lower budget chains with a lot more room…that’s from a lot of experience but I thought I’d try z hotels…
