Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesHardly any disadvantages.
It is a perfect place for peaceful rest located in a very picturesque place near a small waterfall. In summer the fresh mountain air if full with smell of flowers. The hosts are very friendly and experienced in welcoming guests from all over the world. The hotel itself is small and good for resting with group of friends. If you are into hiking or trekking you will find a number of interesting routs from here.

Abkhazia, GeorgiaAmazing place on the edge of the mountain! Beautiful views from the windows of the room itself, from which you can see the nearby waterfall. Here you can claim amazing family cooking. There is a wine cellar in the yard, where you can taste wine and vodka made according to the centuries-old tradition. Degustation place is 100 years old Oak house. They also have a minivan and you can enjoy a tourist tour at a good price. Also with transfer to the airport. Thank you very much for hosting!

LatviaOur stay at Discover Kinchkha was great. The host was very welcoming and friendly! We had everything that we needed. The pancakes included in the breakfast reminded me of my childhood. There are great mountain views on every side of the house and it is very close to Okatse canyon.

NetherlandsI was only the 3rd guest, but when full you have to go thru 2 rooms and up a spiral stair to get to the bathroom..
Darejan speaks English and is very welcoming, she gave me needle and thread for my broken backpack, cooked me a nice dinner and I got coffee and wine. Her husband showed their wine making place and let me taste different chacha's. The room had a big terrace and at night you could see the stars. It was very quiet and hitchhiking there and back was easy. Quite a walk to the big waterfall, but also there you can hitchhike.

We had the most amazing experience, the most warm welcome, amazing food, local wine, all our needs and wishes were fulfilled, we were shown around in a best possible way, listening to stories and old georgian legends. We are so coming back.. Thank you so much for making the trip so very special. Anna, Sylwia and little Klaudia

PolandThere was another party of four visiting who seemed to have privately booked all the facilities. We couldn't use the sauna, and ate breakfast outside on a terrace at rainy 10°C rather than dining area in front of a fire. Earplugs mandatory as they were dining and drinking chacha until 3am
Rustic, homely feel, stunning location and great food - even accommodated vegan diet! Very close to Okatse canyon

United KingdomBeca and his parents were fantastic hosts. we loved staying in Kinchkha at this homestay. we stayed in the double room which was comfortable. If you are a tall couple (we are not)! we’d recommend booking the twin room. We enjoyed amazing home cooked dinners and breakfasts and had a great time getting to know the other guests. We also enjoyed a tour of the wine house. Just to note - if you have bad mobility you may struggle moving around the house/to the toilet which is two floors below bedrooms. Thanks for an amazing stay. we loved Kinchkha and our friendly, hospitable hosts! we felt like family :)

RussiaThis is a special place in a village (so the house and facilities is like a village house) but we enjoyed our experience there!! the owner is super hospitable and kind!! He offered home-made jams, honey (super yummy!), they also have wine and even a wine-cellar! so you hardly get this kind of experience somewhere in the city! It’s close to sightseeings (if you have a car), waterfalls and canyons. And we liked hospitality and our experience there was good!!☺️

GeorgiaThe description of the place is not very precise. The place feels more like a dacha or guesthouse, not like a hotel. But we appreciate the house because we like such kinds of places.
We liked the place very much. Beautiful nature, welcoming owners. We really rested there after hot Kutaisi. We stayed one night but it is better to stay more there to explore the surroundings and to chill. Beside the main building, there is a beautiful and atmospheric old wooden house looking like an ethnographic museum and a wine cellar marani with wine and chacha. There are also ducks, geese and chickens in the yard.
