The hotel needs an upgrade. The rooms smell smoky, staff aren’t friendly, and it’s quite run down.

Housekeeping service - it's laughably bad. First day for no reason I didn't get any service at all, and it was very unpleasant to come back in the evening to the room that was not cleaned. Second day, after I asked front desk, housekeeping did visit the room, but the floors remained dirty, the sheets were not changed, and I was left without any towels. I think the hotel needs to fix this poor housekeeping situation. Note that the hotel rooms do have some wear and tear, but that wasn't really a problem for me - a lamp was originally broken, but quickly fixed after my request to the front desk. Strange policy of not allowing outside food and drink is posted everywhere, which is definitely not common nowadays.

Amazing location (honestly, probably the best in Batumi) - you are right near the dancing fountains, the beautiful Batumi Boulevard and the seaside, as well as the historic parts of town, restaurants/bars etc. Getting to and from the train station was very easy and took a 10-minute taxi ride. Historic and very unique building (built in 1930s). The provided room was larger and had better facilities than booked - including a huge balcony. Comfy bed, a bathtub and strong WiFi with no issues. Bottled water was provided. Buffet breakfast was honestly pretty good with strong Turkish vibes (I'd add some made-to-order eggs, but it was still satisfying for me). I didn't have the time to enjoy the SPA zone, but it looked good. Very nice and helpful front desk staff, they were willing to help and to quickly resolve any issues + make sure you enjoy your stay.

ON ARRIVAL ,SHOULD BE KING SIZE BED . THEY GAVE ME TOW BEDS ROOM UNTEL I WENT BACK TO RECEPTION. CARPET IN THE ROOM IS VERY OLD. TV SCREEN IS TOO SMALL.

The staff lost my original booking, did not listen to me or my friend and were generally extremely unhelpful. the spa was shut which was one of the main reasons to book.

I specifically stayed there for sauna, sauna was closed 5 days of my 7 day visit. The place could have been a bit more clean and when they make the room they do not change the sheets.

Listing and pictures are extremely misleading. The property is not just dated, it’s decayed. Half of the building is empty, casino and lounge bar have been closed for years. Carpets in the rooms are smelly and dirty, some mold in the bathroom. The sink pipe broke during our stay and leaked all over the floor, repair man fixed it quite fast, but it took >1h for housekeeping to come and clean it, although there were hardly 10 other rooms occupied at the time. Spa is open with some facilities out of order, no staff there, no towels, bathrobes, whatsoever (one has to bring shower towel from the room). No way it’s 5* as advertised.

Rooms with south side windows are really getting hot (there is ac, but i do not want to use it) One little thing :) take care about the ants... The bass of the parties in the next building are a bit to loud (just at one day)

Very friendly staff, nice charming old sovjet style hotel (of course its an intourist) I loved the room and the absolute perfect neighborgood, everything is in walking distance. I would never enjoy a stay at the new boulevard with all thid awfull hotel complex buildings. You have the park with all the imbiss spots you have the beach (although i prefer the magnetic black sand beached 1h north of the city) you have the old town, market best restaurants nearby... Additionally i would like to say something about the bad recs on this site. Yes it is not a modern 5 Star hotel, if you want to have a new build building go somewhere else. Some things are a bit broken yes, but everything was working 100% fine. The cleaning was everyday! The breakfast is really good and fresh and with lots of stuff also for vegeterians, but even for vegans there is enough (div salat, fresh vegetables, hit dishes with beans etc...) but on thing is true, the coffee is really bad ;) the beds are really comfortable!
