Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe stayed in the large one bedroom apartment for just one night. The room was spacious and comfortable for our family of 3. We had a plentiful, relaxed breakfast served in the beautiful garden. Zaal was welcoming and kind. He gave us a nice bottle of his wine and some chacha for the road. I’d recommend this guest house.

CanadaNothing.
We had an excellent stay here. Zaal was one of a kind and we are very thankful to have spent an afternoon with him drinking wine and chatting. We have never experienced this type of hospitality before. The breakfast was incredible. Zaal also helped us tour around Telavi for a day and also suggest better travel to Tbilisi than a marshrutka (far more comfortable for a minimum cost increase). The room was very comfortable and the terrace was amazing. Would 100% recommend. Such a great way to get to know Georgian people.

GermanyWe stayed one night in Telavi at Neli & Zaal's and it was an exceptional experience. The house and the garden are beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. Zaal helped us from the beginning making suggestions on what to visit in the surroundings in our limited time. He arranged a kind and good driver who brought us to great and interesting places (Telavi Museum, Nekresi Monastery, Gremi and Khareba winery). We had a great evening with Zaal, he shared his homemade wine, chacha and fruits. We got a full experience of Kakhetian hospitality, hearing from the history of the area and live experiences of Zaal. Couldn't recommend it more!

IndiaSituated in the quiet, beautiful town of Telavi, Neli and Zaal’s guest house is perhaps the most coziest of stays one can find. They make you feel at home with meaningful conversations and an air of warmth. Don’t forget to try Zaal’s home made wine, which is an absolute delight.

United StatesAbsolutely loved everything. I just wish we could have stayed longer.
We loved everything about Neli and Zaal guesthouse. The house is very comfortable as were the beds. Breakfast was huge, varied, and delicious, with many homemade jams. Shortly after we arrived, Zaal treated us to an amazing spread of fruit, churchkhela snacks, pickles, cheeses, wine, and chacha. Everything was homemade or grown by Zaal. Best of all, Zaal told us about the history of wine making in the Kekheti region of Georgia and also how he learned to make very delicious wine and other spirits. Neli, who's an endocrinologist, joined us after her work was complete for the day, and we continued our very interesting conversation. Neli and Zaal's house and garden are beautiful and very special. My wife and I have traveled to more than 50 countries and have stayed in many guesthouses, hotels, and B&B's, but none have been comparable to the wonderful time we spent together with Neli and Zaal. Obviously, I highly recommend Neli and Zaal Guesthouse.

SwitzerlandAbsolutely nothing to dislike!
Neli & Zaal have created an absolute oasis on top of the hill, with a gorgeous garden, a huge balcony and comfortable rooms that make you feel like you’re living in luxury. The breakfast was delicious and prepared with so much love and Zaal was a wonderful host, driving us where we needed to go and chatting with us about his life. Our best stay in Georgia, you can stay anywhere else but here when you visit Telavi!

United StatesWe had an entire apartment that was spotless with its own entrance and easy access to the rest of the house. Neli and Zaal were one of the highlights of our entire trip to Georgia. They are natural hosts who clearly love meeting new people and sharing the best of Georgian hospitality with them - the price simply doesn't reflect what is priceless. Zaal generously shared wine and chacha from his own cellar, and we were able to meet many other travelers. Truly lovely people and a beautiful place. This isn't just a homestay, it's an experience!

JapanNeli and Zaal are the lovliest and most generous couple – together, they epitomize the spirit of hospitality and friendliness. Their amazing food and wine (Zaal’s own), the spacious guest rooms, the terraces and balconies, a flower garden in the back, everything is perfectly arranged to create a welcoming atmosphere. The evening meals and wine tasting at Neli and Zaal’s ‘international table’ are not to be missed! We are sad to leave, but we keep many fond memories of our days with Neli and Zaal. Thank you Neli and Zaal!
