The hotel is in a perfect position, very close to the beach and surrounded by nature. Simple, but clean and uncomplicated. To recommend.

Didn't like the fact that we were there for 5 nights and bedding and towels were not changed changed once.

Breakfast was good, basic but plentiful and always served with a smile. Location was good for our needs. An OK beach was just a few minutes walk away.

The hotel is very dated. Room was sparse and gloomy.

Room was very clean and the mattress was very comfortable. The location right behind the beach was great.

Pretty isolated.. $10 taxi from plakias. A couple little tavernas for snacks at the beaches but otherwise it is your only resource for dinner and evenings. Seems to cater to German couples and tastes... From the books I'd say that it is 99% Germans and dinner is what they want... staff has hardly any English to even explain how things work. But people are pretty friendly. I think it is a good place for 2 nights but 3 was too many.

Really near ammoudi and amoudaki beaches... That's the plus

Small and hard beds. Wifi didn't work in the room, only in the lobby and restaurant.

The property is well run, friendly and in a beautiful remote cove. I stayed at Ammoudi to be with friends who have stayed there many times and love it. my review is not meant to be negative, just be prepared for a facility that is clean but very basic.

The family that runs Ammoudi is great.

It needs a slight renovation as the furniture and the feeling is a bit old.

There could have been a sink plug and a kettle, but everything else needed for self-catering was there.

The continental breakfast was very good and fresh. The breakfast service was quick and efficient. The location was quite quiet which was what we wanted. There was lots of car parking space. There was a sandy beach and beach taverna 250m away.

Surrounding of the hotel is not very nice. Rocky coast, no beach. Surrounded by small other hotels.

Wonderful Duplex room. Modern and all comfort. Nice garden and pool. Surroundings are not so nice. Very good breakfast. Quiet. Pleasant pool.

Very thin pillows

It is a simple, clean family hotel in super good location, just next to beautiful, but not so popular beach. Great place if you like calm location with great beach, walking and there is even a dive center. There is a very nice beach cafe, but you can also get in hotel nice homemade dinner and breakfast.

Limited menu.

Basic, clean, if somewhat dated hotel. The staff were friendly. The food options were very limited but tasty. If you like SCUBA there’s a dive centre adjacent to the hotel. The beach was a five minute walk. Quite a few different beach options within walking distance.

I said it last year as well if you are staying multiple nights the cleaning stuff knocks your door and there are no signs to put outside the door such as do not disturb

I like the family vibe and the solitude that you get when you are staying there. On top of that the cats inside the hotel that are visiting it are one of a kind and pretty chilled.

We were here for the second time and once again we had a good time. Pleasant and quiet environment, friendly staff, close to the beach.

Excellent location close to an amazing snorkelling beach Ammoudi. Good value for money because of spacious rooms. Nice optional breakfast. This hotel is in the rural area so you can get to meet exotic animals. I was greeted by a crab on the way to the beach. Ammoudi beach is perfect for snorkelling, but there's also an area for children to play. There's lots to see in the sea. You can swim among fish schools. Scubadiving schools also use this beach. The beach is clean and the sunbed set is 5 euros per day. We will most likely come back to this hotel.

1. The room was not clean, there was someone's hair on the floor 2. The toilet didn't work - the water didn't stop 3. All the chrome staff like faucet, buttons etc weren't washed for a looong time 4. The AC worked pretty bad. It took about a half an hour to start blowing cold air. 5. It is very windy there due to its a canyon, at night you hear the wind blowing and in general it is not comfortable on the beach and around.

I really can't think of anything I would like to see changed. I hope this charming part of the world stays the same for as long as I intend going there. The perfect retreat where life goes by at at a slow, steady, quiet pace, thats so refreshing.Nothing was rushed and I never heard an angry word spoken, anywhere.

The Hotel is almost on the Ammoudi Beach. To me, the location was perfect. This is a most beautiful area with a great hotel, a magnificent beach, crystal clear water and an amazing little restaurant on the beach called Chyma Sto Kyma, with brilliant staff. The hotel staff were caring and friendly, in fact everyone I encountered in the various restaurants, taxis and shop were so polite, friendly and helpful. This is my second time going on holidays to this area, and already I am so look forward to my next visit. This area is absolute paradise. Despite the high temperatures, a cool breeze made the beach very comfortable. If you want to take time out to get away from the pressures of modern day living, and step back in time, this is the place to go.
