Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSlight issues with shower not getting super hot and we would have liked coffee making facilities in the room - but there is a free coffee machine you can use which is really nice.
Excellent location just behind Naousa harbour, lovely view from our room on decent size terrace. Lovely swimming pool but a bit cold to swim during our visit, fantastic (free) coffee machine as no kettle in rooms. Room was a decent size, furniture a bit old-fashioned but excellent value. The staff work hard to keep slightly dated building super clean and the Manager, Spyros was extremely friendly, polite an hard-working. He couldn't do enough for us to make us feel very welcome and said that modernisation renovations would be carried out next year, it will then surely be the best place to stay in Naousa as it's in a brilliant location.

AustraliaWe booked a double room on booking.com but were given a twin room. They said they had no doubles left. That’s fine but I would have booked elsewhere had it been made known during booking, given we were on our honeymoon. There was no water bottle provided in the fridge (seems to be the custom in accomodation around the Cyclades given we can’t drink the tap water on the island). Would have been appropriated when you wake up thirsty and nothing is open. Also the bathroom situation is terrible. We’ve seen small bathrooms before and this was a SMALL bathroom ie. they’d removed the toilet cistern and installed it upside down on the wall above to make space. Even then, the gap between the toilet bowl and sink is <30cm so it’s a tight squeeze. The room locks look to have been changed multiple times with the door & timber frame seemingly hacked at. Therefore locking mechanism is LOUD. Can hear most other guests on the floor coming and going and sounds like slamming. Ok for a couple of nights in transit but definitely not comfortable for any longer.
Location was excellent for walking around town. Close to bars, restaurants, supermarkets, vehicle hire, picturesque sea views and a ~10min walk from the Naoussa Bus Stop. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Common areas were spacious and well maintained.

United KingdomThere was no towel rail in my room to hang towels. It must have broken but still hadn't been fixed. No safety box. No kettle to make your own hot drinks, which was the only place I have stayed in that hasn't had one. No complimentary water. No toiletries, just a bar of soap. The balcony was small, so you could either have the chairs out or the airer to dry clothes. This didn't bother me but may others. The hangers were all random from shops, and some metal ones had rusted. The furniture was dated. I think if they paid attention to details, like some of the other places I stayed in in Greece, it would have been nice as it was the most expensive stay in the country.
Room - spotlessly clean, lovely and bright, cosy, comfy bed, balcony with chairs, fridge. The bathroom was also spotless and bright and had a window. Location - excellent, walking distance to bus station and all amenities, next door to supermarket. Pool and communal area - clean, beautiful, and quiet to relax in. Was allowed a late checkout at 12pm so that I could get my bus back to Parikia for my ferry, which was accommodating of them. If you have any questions about buses, water taxis etc ask at reception they are helpful. Really enjoyed my stay here.

NetherlandsThe shower was terrible. Very small; the showercurtain was very 'sticky' to your body while showering and you had to hold the showerhead yourself; there was no placement on the wall.
Very nice pool, nicely decorated. Spaceous room and a lot of closetspace. Beds were comfortable. Receptionists were very nice and eager to help; when we were looking for renting vehicles they immediately called some people and took care of it. It's a nice and quiet hotel, eventhough you're in a very busy and crowded part of town (city center).
