Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe loungers at the pool can get crowded and there is some place keeping with towels. A few more umbrellas might be a good idea.
This was the third time I have stayed at this hotel. The staff are very friendly, the buffet meals are very reasonable, there is a lovely pool and beautiful views from the bedrooms over the bay.

United KingdomThe manager at the reception was not at all helpful. She was impudent to the point of rudeness. I booked for a large bed or 2 twin bed in the event my sister from Rhodes was accompanied me for the wedding of my niece taking place in Leros. We were prepared to pay the difference. I made the booking therefore any conversation should have been carried out in English and it was not. She was talking to my sister in Greek. I had to stop her and insisted to direct the conversation to me. There was another elderly woman and she was very polite with me. My sister was so angry she left and did not want to sleep another night in that hotel. This is not what tourism is about.
The breakfast range of food was good. However, not enough fruits on display. Only tin apricot, apple slices, orange cut in segment that is all. What about fresh peaches, lemons and other Mediterranean fruits such as fresh fig. The canteen staff however were excellent. Very helpful. The view was also lovely and very romantic.

GreeceThe breakfast could have been better by including for example local products/ fresh juices and having a bigger variety to choose from.
A beautiful hotel, located in proximity to Agia Marina and Platanos. The room was spacious, clean and with a very nice view to the garden and (part of) the pool. The staff made their best effort in helping me rent a car, even if this was at the last minute and during high season which I really appreciate. Overall, my stay at Crithonis Paradise was a positive experience and would very much consider going back.

United StatesVery nice property with lovely pool area and immaculate grounds. The best part of our stay was the very helpful and friendly staff. They arranged our group transports from airport, marina, ferry for no additional cost. The staff at the bar and restaurant were accommodating and exceeded expectations. This would be my recommendation to anyone needing a stay on Leros.

United StatesThere were some electrical problems that caused the building to lose electricity and air conditioning on two separate occasions, which interrupted sleep. I don’t think this is a huge issue but it appears to be a common occurrence The gym is not usable , the machines are old and rusty. It was one of the few places we stayed that had a gym so I was looking forward to it
Breakfast was very good, with a wide variety. The pool is beautiful , lots of chairs and shady spots to cool off. All staff were very friendly and helpful; always with a smile they are the best. The snack bar by the pool had drinks and a snack/bar menu available all day and the kids loved lunching there and ice cream after ward. The rooms were more than adequate, beds comfortable and cleaned daily. The grounds are absolutely beautiful too, lots of mature flowers and shrubbery.

Austriawhat I did not like at all is that I booked and pre-paid the room through booking.com - just to double check before leaving the hotel I asked if the room is payed and suddenly they told me “ no” and that I have to pay for the room now. I had a look on my online banking and it showed me that I already had payed the full amount to booking.com which I showed to the lady at the reception. she was not very happy to accept this but I told her that I am not going to pay twice for this room which she finally accepted. I had then requested an invoice and she told me that she can’t give me an invoice because I did not pay directly to the hotel (which I think is very weird because I still stayed there, just the payment was proceeded though Booking.com). anyhow, in the end I left without invoice but at least I only payed once for the room.
very nice welcome and uncomplicated check-in.

ItalyHospitality and reception were not helpful, the car rental was terrible (they gave us an old car and they requested a price higher than negotiated). Beach towels were worn out and all stained. Blankets were shorter than the mattress. The gym was obsolete, with old equipment and no one able to tell how they worked. Everything we asked, we did not get.
breakfast and the swimming pool were just okay
