Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomCertain aspects of the bungalows as already described. We ate at their restaurant twice during our stay, both times took a fairly long time to come but was good tasty food, however over 1 hour for a basic Thai dish was a little too long really. The bar drinks are considerably more than next doors resorts, example a Singha (can) is 100 baht compared to 70 baht next door, I guess you could argue the premium is due to having the infinity pool?? A 40% mark up is pretty unjust in my honest opinion especially for the budget travellers of which there seemed a good few. I may have described this resort negatively but overall it isn't, it is a lovely place and the positives are all as described in their advertising on booking.com but I'm just pointing out some of what I feel are the real world points.
My reviews for booking.com are based on Value for Money so where as this bungalow at just over 3k a night is obviously better than a 600 baht hostel it may not be better value for money in real terms. We booked 2 bungalows, a Gardne View and claimed Seaview bungalow, in reality all bungalows open on to and face the main central garden, the only real bungalows you could probably say have a Seaview in their own right area the last 2 rooms, 103 & 104, we have 105 & 106. The bungalows themselves were as described and pictured in the advert although I would just say generally the resort feels a little aged, still very lovely and nice, maybe it's the end of a very busy high season and they will have a refresh afterwards, that kind of look so to speak. Both our bungalows had a mixer shower that only once gave warm water during the middle of the day so evening and morning showers were FRESH lol. The slightly higher premium Seaview bungalow had a noisy air con unit and fridge which made for a broken night's sleep, the other bungalow was absolutely fine in that regards and the bed was very comfy in a decent sized room for 2. The room facilities were as described so no quibbles there. Overall whilst I'm probably being picky, these rooms are in the premium price range so I feel it only fair to point out the reality of what to expect but generally a nice place to stay in one of the quieter locations on Tao. The resort ends with an infinity style pool overlooking Chalok beach which was lovely.

SwedenOne of the rooms had a lot of mosquitoes coming into the bathroom (We extended our stay twice and got another room for the extension.)
Great garden, beach bar and infinity pool. Cannot stress that enough. Nice balcony to drink a morning coffee and hang wet swimwear. Relaxed, away from the city but still things you need/want close by. Cozy. You get towels for the pool. Nice staff and almost everyone is super nice and service minded. The bar has tasty food.

NetherlandsOne time the pool was green and looked unclean. There was a pretty big gap in between the entrance door and the floor so mosquitoes were able to come in, but the staff helped us to fix it with a towel. If can get a little loud if there’re many people talking outside on their balconies (simply because of the enclosed space in between buildings), but it’s okay.
The bar area was very nice, quiet with the pool and the sea view and access to the small beach. A bottle of water and a roll of toilet paper were provided every day. Free transfer to the pier. Rooms have all the necessities and are clean.

United KingdomThe staff at the front desk weren’t very welcoming, we’d arrived after a long day of travel we weren’t helped with our bags and staff member was impatient about us paying. The front desk member appeared irritable and unfriendly. However the staff member who picked us up from the pier was very friendly and helpful.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Good location.

NetherlandsA lot of light comes in and not well isolated for sound so without earplugs and a sleeping mask you will wake up early for sure.
Good value for money. Cute layout, really felt like a little authentic village. Nice pool, nice bar and a nice quiet beach just in front, definitely a must visited especially in the evening as it really feels like a private beach with good drinks. Location wise a bit out of the buzzing center but that was for us more a bonus, easy to rent scooters close by.

GermanyThey have a bird in a cage in reception, and the fish tank is totally dirty, please show respect for the animals. Many mosquitos in the morning and evening, we can not enjoy the terrace at these times. The swimming pool smells too much to bleach.
It's a nice resort with a jungle garden all around. The rooms are smaller than they look in the pictures but are nice. The cleaning people gave us a mattress for our baby without asking. The people from the restaurant are amazing, and the food is delicious, you can see how they cook in the fire kitchen in the garden. Don't miss to see Ut-Ut.

United KingdomRoom, although with small balcony, didn’t offer much of a view. Mosquitoes with no netting/insecticide or plug in deterrent- especially in the wet weather when I was bitten substantially! Staff member on reception was disinterested and couldn’t speak much/any english, making communication difficulties. Staff in kitchen very slow to bring breakfast - my husband was served 20 minutes before me, and a neighboring table was served at least 45 minutes before me, despite arriving after us!
Location by the sea with bar and infinity pool.

- clean rooms- linen and towel service daily - great location on chalok ban beach with lovely infinity pool - great tour and transfer service organised by porn - good restaurant and bar - hot water and good air conditioning in room

EcuadorThe place is a small jewel far from the hectic party island areas, so it was just the relaxing escape I was looking for! The room was very comfortable and spacious. Khun Pond at the restaurant is just a gem of a person and was extremely kind and welcoming. I would definitely come back to this place in the future!

SwitzerlandI would have loved to have a mosquito net at the fan for the bathroom. Cause even if the rest of the room is mosquito proof, they can still just fly in through there :/. Also the bar in the pool area seemed just dirty. No need to renovate, just pleeease clean that filthy fridge 😅.
The bungalows are very cute and with the private little porch they feel very private as well. The aircon was perfect and the bedsfelt comfortable. Also the shower was great! The pool area is amazing 😍! The pool itself is so nice and the view is stunning. Also the food from the restaurant is alright.

United Kingdom- The staff haven't bothered to clean the cage of the bird they have...it is cruel! - Little things like having to give 1000BHT for a key deposit but if you don't keep a slip of paper with that written, even if you have the key you won't get 1000 back! Feels scammy and gives bad vibes. - For the price it's not quite as luxurious as it should be, BOOK DIRECTLY NOT through Booking.com. - The reception staff didn't even know if they offer laundry service, also apparently when checking out free pier transfer is only at 8:30, 9:30 and 14:30 - in my opinion for an expensive resort this is unacceptable when hostels offer this service.
Bar is pretty and lit up at night and the pool is beautiful if a little dirty looking..! Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the resort is in a great location if you're looking to get away from the main Sarriee beach for a bit. Location, near Happy Monk Bar and Restaurant and Koppee for breakfast (Happy Monk has a wonderful atmosphere and is very romantic).

New ZealandThe ground staff and bar staff were all lovely. However, we found the reception staff a bit rude and not very helpful. Unfortunately we had two days with cold showers and we had to follow this up twice with reception before it was resolved. They also did not let us store our bags upon departure.
Rooms were stunning, very spacious, modern villa feel. Beds were very comfortable and there was good air conditioning to stay nice and cool. Seperate bathroom and shower was a good bonus too. Pool was a lovely area to relax with good food and drink service. Quiet location south of the island with stunning views.
