Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyI wish the room service staff put more effort in cleaning the rooms. I wished that they had provided us with clean towels and have exchanged the bed and cover’s sheets. I wish that they provided basic requirements for the bathrooms. Most Bathrooms need renovation. Overall, I wish that the staff workers and the organizers pay more attention towards the hygiene of the place, because it plays a huge role for the guest’s stay.
I liked the staff, safety, and the location.

United KingdomI’ve lived & worked in kos and is is my honest opinion….The only bar was at the pool. the lady who ran it in the day did nothing but moan about guests, said she was too busy said she had no break yet she kept disappearing & moaned about people drinking….we are having a holiday & paid for it! . i work very hard as a nurse & came for a rest, a few drinks & paid good money to stay & don’t want to listen to someone who doesn’t want to be happy in their job….there was no still water available at 32 degrees heat….was told to buy it! no tonic water available for gin (never in my life have a been to an all inclusive bar where i had to buy tonic water) no cocktails, no snacks. just 5 spirits, red& white wine on tap, beer & fizzy drinks available. no frappe unless you paid for it. a coffee machine & limited cake at 4pm that disappeared in seconds…was told one day i couldn’t gave any and it was gone!. no bins around the pool. cups & glasses or tiny (like school water glasses) The guy in the Evening was extremely friendly yet seemed frustrated with the limitations of what was in offer to give to guests. The hotel shop is extremely overpriced. there is one down the road to the left much cheaper for snacks, tonic water & still water! . Food in restaurant was ok….hit & miss with availability (spaghetti bolognaise was available every night) some traditional greek food was yummy. no desserts just melon or cake that was so sweet it hurt my teeth! breakfast & lunch the same every day. A bit like a canteen. More fresh seafood & meat would of been lovely. Everyone had to clear away your own plates. tables not wiped down. The room basic, i had already used little bottles of shampoo on my sink on arrival. had to ask for a fridge & no hairdryer(ask at reception) & told no double beds although advertised as double or single. my Bed had a big dip in it which made it uncomfortable. the bathroom smelt of drains.

NorwayThe food was taken quickly - almost no food was available for breakfast. And probably for lunch and dinner. Very far from everything if you dont have a car. The staff do not care about anything..
We had a room at the top with a nice Beachview. Not many rooms have this view. The room was really big - a big plus.

United KingdomThere was a faulty Aircon unit, which meant sweltering temps at night. The bathroom counter had old toothpaste marks, the loo seat was completely detached from the loo itself and there were sections of the room decor that came away entirely. The food was appalling. There was a very tired looking breakfast with sections of browning apple left on open plates. The cooked elements also looked very unappealing. Dinner was pretty much the same, with tired looking salads and unappetising stews.
Close to the local town on a good bus and Hopp scooter route. Denise, one of the owners, was pleasant.

United KingdomRooms, nowhere near adequate (loose wires, plug sockets falling out, bedding not fresh smells stale, wardrobes and drawers broken, bathroom dirty, taps falling off thick with dirt and mould. Room housekeeping not acceptable. Facilities (most of which are unusable, pool table full of junk can’t be used). Playground unusable due to smell from outdoor toilets which are unusable as absolutely filthy with excrements. Pool was green and had slimy feel. Food (chef/cook qualifications or experience questionable). Drinks, alcoholic drinks and soft drinks (extremely watered down), staff morale (due to management, lots of angry shouting in front of guests, very intimidating and scary, completely unapproachable) staff crying in front of guests. Entertainment (none seen other than owner/manager singing with his guitar, not entertaining). Security and safety of guests is poor, If you accidentally use key to open the wrong room access is all yours, keys open all rooms, balcony railings not safe wedged with cardboard to keep up. Photos and advertisement are not a true reflection of this hotel at all. I have Photo/video proof taken. This is not a 4 star hotel or even 3 star. Booking.com need to protect others from booking this hotel urgently.
The area location around the hotel premises was nice and scenic.

Faroe IslandsWe stayed there over a week. It was out of date and not maintained properly. Water leaking from toilet to floor. Etc The food was not good. No juice for the breakfast. Sousages, bacon and egg not cooked properly. The cleaning was not done as it should with new towels or sheets, sometimes all was taken and no new given. No lights in the fitness room. No entertainment in the svimmingpool area, an dusty/brooken pooltable. The manager or owner seemed to just walk around and played boss sat by the pool and smoke and sometimes tried to get us pay for things that was included our stay. Fx to enter fitness room. Not friendly or serviceminded. I cant belive this to be a 4 star hotel. Should be max 2.

A valuable hotel. Order all inclusive because it’s no restaurants around the corner. You can rent bikes and go in to kardema - recommended. Since it is a valuable hotell you can still afford and do daytrips a few days Very friendly staff.

United KingdomWell I saw complaints about loo roll, towels etc, beds not being changed. We had soap, we had loo rolls, we had towels. When I asked for more towels, we got more towels. I don't need someone to make my bed, I'm a grown up! If you want that, they are a little short staffed at the moment, so don't stay, not ask for clean towels or sheets and then complain after instead. I only wash my sheets once a week at home on my bed so it didn't bother me. But if you want clean sheets every day or your bed made every day for you, you need to ask or it may not be done. So not what I didn't like, but a warning to you if it will bother you. The private beach for the hotel is stoney. But it has free sunbeds for guests which is great and has a fantastic view. If you want sand, walk up the shore a little and you get sandy beach.
The food was really nice, all traditional Greek food and there was a wide range of dishes to choose from for lunch and dinner. Always lots of salad, feta, tatziki, stuffed vine leaves, plus rice/ potato and spaghetti dishes. Different meats, fish , meatballs, moussaka and vegetables. Baklava cakes are served in the evening, watermelon served twice a day. Everything is Greek food (so don't come and then complain if you want something else) and rotated. Breakfast was breads, fresh yoghurt, different jams, preserves, figs, fruit, chocolate spread, honey, muesli, cereals, milk, cooked meats and eggs, cold meats and cheeses and eggs. The staff are very friendly, Nikos is attentive to his guests. He plays the guitar and sings sometimes in the evening (he's very good). Saturday night is Greek night with music and dancing and fire! The resort is respectable, tidy and well laid out, it is very close to a private beach. The pool is very nice and clean, it has sun loungers for free. There is water on tap at meal times (we filled our bottles up) and taps in the room and fridges (you can drink the tap water btw). At the bar, there are soft drinks available, wine, beer, spirits like rum and gin. We also were made "*** on the beach" cocktails. Bar is open from 11am to 11pm. We were allowed to have lunch when we turned up earlier than our check in time and the day we left where our taxi was late afternoon after check out time, which is really lovely of them There is a bus route that takes you to Kardemena Town from am to late pm. Hotel has the timetables, it also has bicycles you can borrow. It also can sort out car hire, and buggies, mopeds etc There's car hire places everywhere. We found it quick to walk to Kardemena Harbour, about 25 minutes and a nice walk along the beach front. We then also hired a car. Driving around Kos and parking is pretty easy to be fair. This place is away from things, it's quiet, it's peaceful.

SwitzerlandNot worth your money. Badly run. Very rundown. Felt bad for the receptionist, having to deal with all the complaints from all the guests. Pool was murky. Rooms were never cleaned.. trash taken out 1 in out 7 nights stay. Aircon was broken and so was our fridge. Extra bed for our child was full of unprotected springs and a very very thin mattress. No one could sleep on a bed like that. So our daughter slept in our bed. What a mess of a hotel!!

United Kingdomthere is not very much around only 1 shop in the hotel and one 10 minutes away. The town is 45 minute walk away. The “private” beach is not exactly private and the rocks are sharp and dangerous. better ocean if you walk up towards the town. No labels on any of the food and flies can often go towards it when it is left. Maids sometimes do not come and you must ask the manager who will clean up.
it was very pretty and pool was big. set back beach is close. Good value so you get what you pay for. Food is adequate nothing to rave about.
