The balcony was a little small (if you're wider it may not suit) but one way had a distant sea view and it helped to dry my swimmers.

Great location, close to beach, shops not far, lovely seafood restaurants. Good wifi, working air con and fridge meant it had the tech and comfort were covered. The staff were also very helpful and kind with my needs. They had some good local advice and gave me a map too. If you have children, there are also two close by playgrounds besides the sandy beach. Shops at the beach sold beach toys.

In the rooms, the air isn't as fresh as it could be but okay!

I felt safe as a solo traveler here. The breakfast was especially delightful; I even developed a liking for olives! Greek delicacies and omelets were a lovely surprise. Thank you also for the tips I received during my trip. Despite traveling alone, I didn't feel lonely here. It would be a pleasure to visit again someday!

- Location: We loved the location of the Hotel Ideon! If you are renting a car, I highly recommand this hotel because there are always parking spaces closeby. It's only a 10 minute walk from the old town of Chania. - Hotel : The room was very clean and the tiny balcony was the cutest. The breakfast on the terrace was not incuded but it's a great option to have. - Staff : The receptionist was very nice and helpful. She gave us great recommandations and tips about Chania.

All perfect

Good location, friendly and helpful owners and service, especially Mary- do not miss to meet her. Thanks to her I had a beautiful walk along the cost instead of taking the bus. Cosy, clean room with very comfortable bed, small balcony. Breakfast- enought to give a good start for the day on the roof among beautiful plants. Owners pay attention to details. I did not expect my stay to be so good for that money. If I ever happen to be in Chania, I will come back to Ideon.

The friendliness and responsiveness Excellent wifi The comfortable bed, and the facilities that corresponded to what I needed (e.g. kettle) Very efficient cleaning Location right next to a well-maintained beach. The sea there is clean enough to have little fishes scurrying around and birds swimming in the water hunting for that fish. Quiet street save for occasional motorcycles early night (then all gets quiet) Finally, out of the entirety of Crete, Chania is a nice destination as a balance between enjoying all the benefits of civilization but still being close enough to nature.

It could be problematic to find a parking space.

The hotel was great, excellent location (near the beach). There was a little balcony, very convenient. The rooms are not large but they are really well organized. The staff was friendly.

The room I had was corner with external rolling shutters which makes it seems its an only wall room.

Location is great, right next to the old town and 5 min walk to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet, street parking simple. Breakfast on the roof is nice with lots of fresh home grown products. The staff is extremely nice and helpful.

The check-in hour (15:00) is a little late. The wifi was a little wired, some pages (e.g. github) did not work.
