If you come by car, then you'll have to sometimes wonder around aimlessly to find parking, since it's quite a central location. Also, they don't allow visitors, not sure why. Might be a policy for locals.

Very welcoming staff, ready to answer any questions and give advice. We arrived earlier and they did their best to prepare the room as soon as possible and even took the luggage inside. They recommended a very good restaurant that was close by. They even gave us beach towels to rent for free. Definitely recommend this family-run hotel :)

Since this is coming up first In the review, please read the positive side and don't let this to create your opinion. One day when I came back from the beach, a note was waiting for me on my bed. They asked me to specifically use an old, worn out towel for my hair. My hair is dyed and it leaves a little bit of colour when I wipe it with a towel. That washes out in the machine without any problem. I am sure I'm not the only person staying in a hotel that uses colouring products on her hair. I have never ever been asked not to use towels as other guests which was a little bit uncomfortable for me. That was the only negativity so I didn't put too much of a thinking into it.

Hotel Ideon is a comfy family hotel. Everyone was friendly and here to help with whatever necessary. It is quite modern (everything except the rooftop bar). I enjoyed my stay. The room was cleaned every day, it was quiet and without any disturbances. Hotel is located just a short walk from the best beach in Chania, it is also about 10min walk from the city and Old town. The location is 10+. If I visit Chania again, I will be staying there again.

There is nothing we didn't like

Very clean, furnished with brand new equipment rooms, 100m away from the sea and a 15 minutes walking distance from the town center. We forgot our headphones in the room and they called within 15 minutes to inform us. They've earned the great feedback, definitely recommended.

I like the whole experience in hotel Ideon! It was very nice, both staff and the room. It is very close to the beach, the staff is very nice and welcoming and he gave us a lot of useful tips like going to Elafonisi and Beach Balos.

I didnt find the mattress very comfortable but it wasn't terrible, the balcony was very narrow but better than not having one.

The owners were friendly and helpful, the shower was hot, the air con was effective, lovely pillows, convenient location but not noisy, the WiFi worked, the roof garden was shady.

I liked everything

Perfect family hotel with smiling and polite owners who assisted with advice and help to every question or request of mine. The hotel is perfectly clean and renovated with lots of facilities for a 2 star hotel, that exceeded my expectations. It is obvious that the owners take care with love of their hotel and try to make it better and better and make it even more attractive. The rooms are big enough and are cleaned every day. The location is perfect for a short walk to the beach and the old town of Chania with lots of restaurants around. I will definitely visit this hotel again if i return to Crete one day.

I loved everything and I have absolutely no complaints.

Everyone there was very helpful, the rooms were exceptionally clean and the cleaning lady regularly changed our sheets and towels. The owner is especially willing to help you, he's very kind and helped me and my aunt throughout our whole stay. We even casually chatted and it was all very pleasant.
