Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The Kentrikon Hotel is well-located, comfortable, clean, and is great value-for-money. The staff are great and very helpful. The hotel is very conveniently located close to the waterfront of Chalkida and its many restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Easy car parking at the rear of the hotel was provided at no extra charge.

GreeceThe bed was just not at the level of the room. It is a pity to have such a nice room with such a bad bed.
Very good location, the room was big, shiny and very clean. Good isolation of the room, could not hear any disturbing noise, also the air conditioning was working good and silent. The bathroom was big enough and had hot water even late at night.

United KingdomThis is in the centre of town and it's a little noisy at night.
An easy walk from Chalkida railway station. Very handy for the waterfront with its cafes and restaurants. The reception staff were very helpful. There are two steps up from the street, but after that my room was on the ground floor, which I appreciated because I had a very big suitcase. It was nice to have a fridge with water in the room.

GreeceThere was a bit more noise than expected dude to the road underneath the rooms. The cars that we were listening go by, were not normal cars with normal music volume though.. The hotel had double glass windows to try and make up for this.

GreeceThe cleaning you could see was very rushed, even the beds were very thrown together.. it was last minute and the price was good but the toilet was also leaking. The housekeeping staff talking there lungs out in front of your door first thing in the morning, thinking they own the hotel!!! That really annoyed me alot...And all the sound is coming throw from under the door. Soundproofing the door and fixing the toilet.

GreeceA really nice experience staying at the "Kentrikon" hotel. It is literally right in the middle of Chalkida which is convenient since you do not have a car for a walkthrough into the city. Building/Rooms were just fine, given the price range ! Special thanks to Ms. Besy, for the warm welcome and her positive vibes

GreeceWe chose the "Superior Family Room" as we liked its loft and ladder design. However, the room we received, while similar in structure, had several differences from the advertised pictures. The colour of the ladder, a bit smaller bed nook, and the window layout were not as expected. We also missed the extra sink. Although these are minor differences, the bathroom's size was our main concern. It was much smaller than shown in the pictures, requiring us to be quite careful while showering. Nonetheless, the historical Greek ruins visible through the floor were an unexpected highlight. Moreover, the floor was sticky (not dirty!), which kept us in our shoes indoors. It seems the hotel's current listing groups these two rooms under one category, leading to a mismatch between expectations and reality. We advise the hotel to consider separate listings for each room, with accurate photos to ensure transparency.
The hotel is right in the city center. It was really clean overall. Mrs. Bessy at the reception looked kind and open-hearted. The room had a unique feature: a view of ancient Greek ruins beneath the floor, visible through transparent panels – a requirement by law, but fascinating nonetheless.

GreeceThe photos are not accurate. The room is way to small for even one person, there is no closet (just 4 hangers hanging on a mall stick of some sort), so I had to leave the suitcase open on the floor, with all my stuff in it and close it again every day, so I can walk out the door. Fortunately I only had a very small cabin suitcase. No night stand or even a tiny table. To charge my phone and laptop I had to place one on the fridge and one on the bed, the only other option being the floor or on top of my suitcase.
Conveniently located next to the port and the town centre

United Kingdom1. We were 'upgraded' from Kentrikon and moved into Roomotel just across the road. Therefore, this review really relates to Roomotel accommodation. This apartment block was next to a piece of waste ground that was used as a dog's toilet and smelt as such. 2. The accommodation was noisy in respect of the fact that there was no soundproofing and other residents could be heard loudly coming and going. 3. We were told the upgrade included a kitchen. The kitchen area was very poorly equipped which didn't matter to us as we were only there for 2 nights and we had our own mugs and kettle - that's all we needed (neither were provided) . It may be a consideration for others. 4. The bathroom needed a good scrub, particularly around the shower tap, and where the wall tiles met the floor tiles. 5. Mattress was very uncomfortable. You could feel each spring. 6. There was no mirror other than that in the bathroom. Points 3 - 6 could be rectified by the management team for not a huge financial outlay, and this would improve ratings, I'm sure.
1. Location - 2 minutes walk to the waterfront 2. Parking space outside apartment 3. Room was a good size and modern , good blackout blinds. 4. Staff were responsive and helpful 5. WiFi was strong
