Orange juice at breakfast was empty, just light orange colored water came out. Ice machine was turned off on our floor. Lobby restroom was out of paper towels.

This is a renovated 1970s motel with a weird decor. Breakfast was the usual cereals/bagels/yogurt/DIY waffles... no eggs or other proteins.

The room had a smell. The rooms can use some fresh paint and news rugs. The bathroom had a little mold in the shower. Just needs son TLC.

Room was small, and is in need of some basic maintenance; some walls seemed like they'd been painted recently, but bathroom walls and door had peeling paint. Drain stopper in sink was completely disconnected from the pull handle, so it was stuck in the "down" position. We had to manually prop it open to get the sink to drain. Doors to outside had key card slots for access, but none seemed to be working and you could just walk right in without a key card.

The location was great; close to the zoo, which was our destination. Breakfast was better than expected; included a well rounded amount of choices (biscuits & gravy, waffle maker, bagels, bread for toast, cereal, juice, milk).

When I went down for breakfast, most of the food choices were out of stock or I just had bad timing before the staff had replenished the menu options.

I was met at the airport by a staff member that shuttled me back to the hotel well after normal business. Thankful that the hotel provided this service so that I wouldn't have to call a cab or uber ride.

for the price I paid, it was all a tad bit underwhelming; my suite didn’t have an outdoor window so it was hard to adjust to the daylight hours, and the jetted tub was clean but when activated shot out some dirt. the place in general could really use a facelift but it honestly isn’t that bad.

the staff were super kind and the amenities were all relatively clean and overall just a pretty good place to stay.

EXTREMELY noisy. The first night, there was a party in the parking lot under my window (just in the parking lot, not at the restaurant) that went on for quite awhile. Then it moved up into the hallway. I put in my earplugs at 2:00 am and could sleep. Hallways seem a bit battered - the walls and the carpet.

Every person on staff that I met was polite and helpful. There was an issue with the first room I had and the person at the desk (I apologize for not getting names) found a new room for me, even though the Ramada was at near capacity.

I thought the lobby could use a bit of upkeep or redo in its decore and the lobby was very hot when we came to check-in. My room was very hot as well. I am not sure why the hotel was so hot maybe they had a reason. I am not sure.

The guest services were very inviting, pleasant, and welcoming. They were very helpful to me when we entered the hotel until we exited the lobby. It was quick and easy to check in and they were very friendly and I appreciated that so very much.

Beds weren't comfortable, very old/used mattresses. Room was hot & had to run loud A/C all night to keep cool. Elevator was on opposite end of hallway, which meant we took the stairs. Pool area was out of towels & when we told the front desk, they never restocked the towels.

Room was clean, staff were friendly, & price was decent for weekend rate. Price included breakfast & use of pool, which was nice. Location was close to the zoo, which was the reason for our trip to Des Moines.

very dated, used to much carpet fresh when vacuuming. Lobby restroom had four out of five sinks taped off unable to use, stool was plugged! water all over floor running towards drain. the hall ways need to be brighter and this probably would help with over all opinions.

I did not like the fact that when you went outside there were adults outside smoking marijuana and my granddaughter asks what that funny smell is. So we come back inside and walk past a room that someone had just went into and the smell of marijuana coming from that room was overwhelming. Also there were empty beer cans under the bed from previous occupants.
