Georgia was a wonderful host. We stayed there after our return flight from Greece to the UK was cancelled. We were allowed to keep our room all day until we checked out to leave for the airport at no extra cost. Georgia arranged our transfer and refused anything extra for the additional services she provided. Kares Estate is a wonderful quiet place to spend time away from the tourist areas of this wonderful island.

We had a fantastic weekend here, the staff made us feel at home right away, doing everything to accommodate our needs, and Georgia is a lovely character, always around with a smile and warm humor while working with everything! The location is lovely and quiet and has a good atmosphere, everything was nice and clean. They prepare local food, using fresh and local quality products. We had all our meals here, and enjoyed everything! Make sure to try the pomegranate juice for breakfast! It is a bit remote so it's recommended to have a car. This is a place we would like to visit again!

Beautiful location Friendly staff make you feel welcome throughout. Georgia is exceptional, she is constantly on the go cleaning, cooking etc. but always has time for a chat and some fun as well.

This location is perfect if you want to stay at a silence place with an amazing view. The hostess Georgia is so nice and helpful and friendly. For us she felt like family. Estate Kares was like it is our second home. We will be back for sure!!

What a beautiful little gem, tucked amongst the hills. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Crete: absolutely stunning views from anywhere on the estate, beautiful huge garden (full of pomegranate trees) great breakfast, awesome and very clean facilities (spacious villas, we even had own jacuzzi inside), pool overlooking the hills and genuine, warm and brilliant hosts that make you feel so welcome… honestly cannot find enough superlatives for this place! Close to a little village that has a couple of great tavernas with really good food as well.

Very relaxing stay. If you read other reviews you already know that Georgia is an excellent host and a big asset to this place. Studio has a peculiar interior layout, but the mezzanine bed and the panoramic window will likely give you the best view you will get on your vacation and are completely worth it. Whole property is really nice (animals!) and I'm sure larger units are great for a family stay. Road is now paved and not challenging at all.

The main building was dated, lots of wooden structures which appeared to need maintenence and did not look like the websites images which must have been taken some time ago. Main resturaunt area inside very dated. The villa was very different from website images. No aircon in our room made it a very difficult nights sleep. The villa is on three levels, the lower floor was good. Very small kitchen area which did not bother us as we were only there one night.

Good location, easy to find and not too far from the airport. Staff very friendly and helpful, food very good and excellent breakfast. Swimming pool was clean. Villa itself was clean as we're the surrounding gardens. Lovely view. Evening meal was nice and very good value. Georgia our host was great, best part of our stay.

our accommodation seems to have seen better days ! There are lovely photos on their website but they must have been the first photos ! We took the basic room with countryside view. I believe that there are some things that need to be reviewed, like the general layout of the accommodation, electricity, security and general wear and tear of the property. I don’t think that 72 euros is a fair price.

A warm & friendly welcome. Verdant landscape and quiet rural setting away from the hustle and bustle of Heraklion. There’s a beautiful swimming pool

It was more remote than we thought. If you like full isolation, it's great but if you fancy a dinner out, it's a bit of a drive on winding roads to get back to the place.

The breakfast was very good. Georgia is very nice and full of good advise. She gave us tips which were great.
