Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaA great place to relax. Upon arrival, we were greeted with delicious local wine and given recommendations on what to see in the town. The hotel is clean, stylish, and charming. The restaurant where dinner is served offers beautiful views of the sea, a variety of Greek dishes, and delicious homemade wine.

BulgariaPerfect location in a quiet village. Wonderful owner who knows how to treat her guests, including our dog. From the pleasantly decorated rooms and welcome drink, to the nice breakfast and excellent taverna for the dinner, the experience is very satisfying. We have visited this hotel 3 times already.

BulgariaI recently had the pleasure of staying at Liotopi for five days, and I must say it was an overall fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I was impressed by several aspects of my stay. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. Their warm and welcoming attitude truly enhanced my stay. The room I stayed in was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with a gorgeous view to the beach and sea from the terrace. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep and the daily housekeeping service maintained the room impeccably. The breakfast was a particular highlight, offering an outstanding & genuine greek experience. It was so delicious, with a diverse menu every morning, all thanks to madam Loulou and her team. The hotel offered a range of amenities, including free bikes to travel and exploaring around the village, also free umbrellas for the beach, a lovely cradle in the garden and a hammock and probably the best one was the cooking class of madam Loulou. These amenities added extra value to my stay. Liotopis location is a major plus. It was within walking distance of ancient Stagira, birth place of Aristotle, making it incredibly convenient to explore the area. In conclusion, my 5-day stay at Liotopi was memorable for all the right reasons. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and look forward to returning in the future, experiencing their exceptional hospitality once again. Thank you to the entire staff for making my stay so enjoyable!

North MacedoniaWe stayed in the Liotopi hotel from July 11–19, 2023. Everything was amazing. Each day starts with a plentiful and varied breakfast. The beach, which is not crowded at all, is less than a minute away, and the water is very clean. The hotel rooms are extremely clean. Mrs. Louloudia is a very caring lady, resolving all issues immediately (the fan dryer burned and was immediately replaced with another). Lunch and dinner at a nearby restaurant, Akroyali, with very delicious food and excellent staff led by the very interesting and charismatic civil engineer Demetris. We met an Indian/German family that has been coming to this place for 15 consecutive years because of the human touch. Therefore, all positive comments from other reviews are proven to be true. Highly recommended for a peaceful holiday is the combination of both the Liotopi hotel and Akroyali restaurant.

TurkeyTastefully decorated, cozy hotel close to the beach. Breakfasts are served in the garden, and dinner, and launch in Akroyiali. The hosts are helpful and friendly. When we were there happens to be an event for cooking, shared their recipes for buyurdi, mussels and stuffed squash blossoms. They have regular guests visit them every summer. We will be new regulars

We came in this very nice pet friendly hotel for a second time with our dog. The location is perfect, next to the beach and all restaurants. You always get a welcome drink from the nice owner Loulou and when you leave, she gives you a home made jar of jam. The breakfast is very nice, every day you are served in the beautiful garden something different, always some wonderful local food. The dinner is in very good restaurant with tasty food on the beach. The village is very small and green, with nice beach.

United KingdomI felt the shower was a ‘bit of a squeeze’.
The Liotopi is an absolute credit to the Owner. She has made this a small, friendly and due to the near constant baking and cooking, a very comfortable and homely feeling hotel. We arrived very late, after check in and, to our surprise, were taken directly to our room by our local taxi driver. Here we found a very welcoming note and a fabulous midnight feast ( actually three course supper with wine). This theme continued throughout our stay, as upon our return from the beach or a day trip we would find a note, a vase of fresh flowers from the garden, a drink and a little tasty treat. Upon check out we were given gifts of the owners homemade jams and a small bag of dried oregano which she had collected from the mountains. One left feeling as though you had visited a favourite aunt.

United KingdomThe en-suite bathroom was perhaps a little small but everything worked.
This authentic Greek family run hotel is really more like staying in someone’s home. Lulu warmly welcomes guests and she and her staff are genuinely keen that you get a flavour of real Greek culture and history. Her homemade food was exceptionally tasty and varied, from breakfast outdoors to teatime treats and a cooking demo to boot. The garden surrounding the hotel was well kept and a quiet haven for guests and wildlife - chicken, duck, tortoise etc amongst the vegetables and fruit trees. The hotel is very clean and well kept but not lavish. The balcony looked over the quiet, timeless bay.

United KingdomThe shower which did not have a shower tray so we ended up with a wet floor every time we had a shower. If you want to look around the area you need to hire a car. Don’t go there if you want entertainment and organised trips out.
The location was fabulous 100yds from the sea. Loulou could not do enough for you. Her breakfasts were fabulous - different every day and all home cooked. The evening meal at her brothers taverner was excellent. 3 course meal with lots of choice including vegetarian. All freshly cooked. A lovely beach with free sun loungers and shades. Loulou gives you a sunshade and chair if you want to go to a quieter beach with no facilities. A very cheap holiday without having to pay for extras.
