Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceThe bathroom was a little bit tight, but nothing to make us feel uncomfortable.
A cozy and very clean room with a great view of Meteora. The hotel is just a few steps away from the centre of Kalampaka. The hosts were really kind and welcomed us warmly. The breakfast was rich and very tasteful.

ThailandI hate to write a negative review but felt uncomfortable with the woman working at the hotel. We wanted to stay an extra night before before I could finish my sentence she said no straight away with no explanation. She may have been a little bit racist and made me feel a little uncomfortable.
Love the man who received us at the hotel. He was lovely and smiled a lot. Seems very kind and caring. He also served us breakfast which was amazing.

United KingdomRoom and bathroom had windows, but they opened out into a dark shaft so virtually no natural light entered the room. In fairness, we had gone for the cheapest room, and given that the weather was foggy we were glad we hadn't paid extra for a view! 2 sides of the bed were against the wall, so the 'inside' person had to clamber over.
Dmitri was really helpful and friendly. Showed us a good walking route round the monasteries. Very accommodating printing out a short document for us (sometimes work interrupts a holiday). Superb breakfast. Allowed us to choose between 3 rooms of the same price. Kettle in room was welcome. Easy parking outside the hotel. Up a cul de sac so nice and peaceful.

United KingdomThe only potential negative as far as we could say is that the short section of road (about 50 metres give or take) leading to the hotel is quite steep, which could be a bit of a problem for older guests suffering from mobility problems. We are no spring chickens, so needed to take the hill slowly after eating our evening meal in the pleasant restaurant at the bottom of the hill. This of course is no reflection on the hotel itself.
The host, Demetrius is a lovely laid back man who made us feel very welcome. There was a bit of confusion regarding our arrival and departure days which was amusing rather than annoying. The hotel has a lovely old world feel about it, and is situated at the base of an awesome rock face. We had a nice room (albeit a bit short of natural light) with a decent ensuite and balcony, at the front of the hotel .Breakfast was great, an unusual array of various ingredients were brought to the table in minute intervals by Demetrius until there was no space left on the table. When it was time for us to leave, we asked Demetrius to book us a taxi to take us to the railway station and he would have none of it and gave us a lift to the station even though it was just after breakfast time when he would be quite busy clearing up. What a lovely bloke!

SloveniaThe room was very small. The equipment would also need to be refreshed. They also have extremely poor water flow, although this is probably not the hotel's fault.
The location of the hotel is very good and it has an excellent parking lot. The breakfast was very good.

Netherlandsif you cannot walk smoothly, please be aware that you need to go up a bit steep slope just before arriving at the hotel. It was no problem for us though.
The host is very kind and gives a lot of advice about trekking, the location of sunset view etc. Also he served the excellent breakfast despite the price is reasonable. Besides, the hotel decoration is cute and my wife is satisfied with that. if I came back to Meteora, I will definitely stay at this hotel again!

BulgariaThe hosts were very useful. They explained everything about the road to METEORA and how to reach to all monasteries on the rocks. The breakfast was very good with many various things from Greek cuisine. The hotel is quiet , the parking spot is enough. I recoment the guests on the hotel to visit restaurant Meteora at the centre of the town , the food is delishious.
