Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe staff at Ormos Atalia are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. We arrived in the middle of the night when reception was closed, but the barman Laki had stayed up to greet us. The view from our balcony was stunning - we couldn't have been happier with our room. The location is perfect. We loved going down to the beach behind the hotel - less than a 10 minute walk. We also walked down the steps into Bali for our evening meals. Bali is beautiful, with many tavernas and shops, but it's quite hilly! Overall, we had a wonderful holiday. Thank you Christiana, Laki and team.

United KingdomWe weren’t pleased to discover that the hotel charges 30 EUR extra a week for air conditioning and 15 EUR a week to use the safe when the listing says these things are included free of charge.
Great location and fabulous views, situated only a few minutes walk away from lovely beaches and a number of good restaurants.

GreeceOne really negative thing in our stay was that we saw 2 cockroaches in our room bathroom. One on our first night and one the day after. I was really afraid to go to the bathroom. I think they should add window protection in all rooms and spray better. And the second really bad thing that happened was that in the morning of our check out, some of the cleaning ladies were talking about us not leaving yet. It was 11 o clock so we didn't overstay but they were discussing like they couldn't wait for us to leave. It was very rude. Apart from these 2 things, we enjoyed our stay.
The room was nice, amazing view, most of the stuff was nice. The location of the hotel is good, you can go anywhere on foot. The breakfast was nice, it had a lot of foods to choose from.

GreeceWifi connection was weak in my room. The inner road towards rooms in Block D should be paved so that we can carry our luggage to the rooms using it which is an easy job because it is really hard to carry luggage to the rooms since the road is not paved and there is a lot of stairs from other side.
The staff is really kind and helpful specially the lady on the reception. When I arrived I asked her to check if i can change my room with another one with balcony and she did that so quickly and i was very satisfied with the new room. The location is good, at the end of Bali bay with a very nice view and close to a very nice beach called Karavostasi. To get there follow the main road when you arrive to the center of Bali "Don't follow Google Maps inside Bali". The room was large with a small balcony and nice view. The Bathroom is good too and the room was always clean during the 4 nights stay. The bed for me was not that comfortable since the room has 2 twin beds not one double bed. The breakfast is good with a lot of variety. The swimming pool also is an added value to the Hotel.

AustriaOnly downside is: the way to the beach is quite steep.
The location is really beatiful and clean. Best about Ormos Atalia is the staff, always friendly and helpful and concerned about making your time in Bali worthwhile. The food is simple but good and authentically Greek. The view from the pool area is exceptional. Although the hotel is located on top of the village hills, you can reach 3 beaches within 5 minutes by foot, going different directions starting from the hotel.

HungaryWifi is literally useless. Rooms are a bit old, could definitely use some renovation. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke when we arrived. No daily cleanings, and they were rather superficial. Receptionist was very helpful but rarely available in the afternoon and evenings.
Location of the hotel is great. The best beach in Bali, Karavostasi is only 5 minutes away on foot (with a bit of a climb, as the hotel is on a steep hill by the sea). Our room had a great panorame with view to the sea. The receptionist lady was very helpful in offering programs and answering questions. Breakfast and dinner was very tasty, although a bit repetitive. View from the very warm pool is stunning.

PolandThe location with a magnificent view may also be a con as its uphill location at the very end of the village (Bali) leaves only two options to those without a rental car: an uphill hike through the whole Bali resort or a €3 single- way ride by the hourly Little Train (or €5 per person two-way ticket). It is not as much for the hotel but those who anticipate using public transport have to be aware of the fact that the nearest gateway to city (Bali Bus Station KTEL)via public transport is located circa 3km from the hotel and the only two ways to reach it is either the abovementioned train or by foot (35+ minute walk). People not keen on animals may also find the presence of cats and dogs bothersome. To english-only speakers the language barrier might be troublesome, as the main target of the hotel are Germans, so the necessary info is in either German or Greek, and even dough the staff has learned the german language by heart it is way easier to communicate with them in this language not english
The omnipresence of cats can be an advantage and the sea view was breathtaking. Breakfast was better than we expected it to be. Also everything was tidy and the rooms were cleaned every second day including towel and bedding change. The so called "sarcastic" bartender mentioned in other reviews was just a guy who liked to have a one and join guests by the bar challenging them in the drinking game, he might be seen as arogant, as his english skill was just the opposite to his drinking abilities, but he smoothly switches to german while wearing DDR (east german) and 2008 Euro german footbal national team's tshirts. We arrived late around 10pm and were given complimentary water bottle and two sandwiches as we have just missed dinner, the checkin was conducted by no other than the abovementioned guy and everything was smooth. We even didnt have to pay during night, but the next morning. I've been there with my girlfriend and as scared during the first night we were about the location and other whatsabouts we have unanimously decided it was a good bang for buck and a pleasant stay in Greece. 8/10 is a grade this place truly deserves

BulgariaUnfortunately we had to change the room after the first two nights. The second room was smaller, with older furniture and village view (also super pretty). The internet connection wasn't fast, so for working purposes would be an issue (but not impossible).
In the best Bali location. Absolutely GREAT value for money. Initially we booked only 2 nights. The first room was absolutely gorgeous with amazing sea view. Then we decided to stay for 2 more nights, because we loved it soo much. The pool area is small but enough for pleasant stay plus bonus - great view from the pool. The breakfast was everyday the same BUT with lots of different options, so you can eat different things every morning. Nice and helpful staff. We will come again for sure!

PolandIn the apartments on the ground floor there is a problem with ants in the summer, but if you go to the reception they give a special spray against ants and they are gone instantly.
The location is amazing - very close to literally anything in the village. Everything within a walking distance. There is a clean pool and tasty breakfast included in the price. From what I saw there is also additionally charged dinner option available, which looks really tasty. Moreover, there is an option to buy drinking water for a very affordable price at the reception. The staff is really cheerful and will help in any situation.

Perfect food, dinner is buffet style, every night 4-5 greek dishes to choose from + salads, everything is delicious though. Beautiful views from the pool, amazing garden, very cozy and laid back atmosphere, AC works well. The facilities are a bit dated, but it is reflected in the very good price. It was our second stay and we will be back for sure. There are many steps to the beach, not suitable for handicapped people.
