Nothing! We loved everything about this hotel and its wonderful surrounding village. Driving its steep, steep streets is a bit of a challenge (a four-wheel-drive vehicle--not a big one--might have been better than our rented Peugeot sedan). But when we found ourselves stuck, a friendly local spent at least a half hour laying stones and directing us back out of our bind and on the way to our hotel. We were almost glad for the difficulty that had led us to meet yet another person of extraordinary kindness. It's no wonder "efharisto" (thank you!!!) is the most commonly used word in the language of this wonderful country!

The Pantheon is an adorable small hotel toward the top of a steep stone village in the amazing Vikos Gorge area. It's a perfect base for hiking to Micro Papigko and for exploring Ottoman bridges and other small villages along winding roads that offer endless spectacular views and glorious trees--a blaze of color in fall. The delightful woman proprietor is hospitable and kind; she serves great breakfasts and comforting dinners, often on a patio with a stunning view. Our cozy room looked directly into black Zagorian peaks, poking in and out of almost mystical cloud, as well as the slate roofs of the village below. To complete the room's cozy warmth, a bride had left her bouquet on the fireplace.

Everything was just perfect. Comfy rooms with absolutely fantastic view of the mountains, great location (not in the centre, but even better), and delicious breakfast - the hotel owners serve with a lot of yummy food! Would definitely stay there again. PS: we've also got laundry service for free which we greatly appreciated.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in the Zagori region of Greece. Voula and her family at the hotel were perfect and charming hosts that helped us make the most of our time in the area. A beautiful location, lovely rooms and a delicious restaurant. We would love to come back to Papingo and stay here again!

Fantastic view from the room overlooking the mountain! Very good home-made breakfast, the home-made pie was the best! Great hospitality! The most picturesque of all the villages at Zagori. The hotel was a beautiful, stone house. Would definately recommend!

Hotel is located in a magical corner of Papigo magical village. The hotel owners Voula & Tasos were the kindest and warmest and made us feel at home and helped us with everything. The room was beautiful and spacious. The hotel's resaurant is located in the beautiful garden with great view of the towers of Astraka clifs. Both dinner and breakfast were very tasty. We'd surely love to return back.

Vula & Tasos were the perfect hosts ! warm and welcoming . Our hosts went out of their way to entertain us in the best way possible. They pampered us in every way possible. Beyond the dreamy location in front of the stunning cliffs of the Vikos Canyon, the hotel is aesthetically built and the architecture is typical of the area, in good taste. The rooms are spacious and sparkling clean . Every little request from us was answered quickly and to our satisfaction. We were given a lot of information about trip options and attractions in the area close to the trip. The breakfast and dinner we ate at the hotel restaurant were plentiful, and very tasty!
