Room very small, everything seemed old and worn. Smell of mildew in the bathroom/shower. I had to give my card at check-in in case we need something from the minibar, but in the room discovered that minibar was empty/locked and seemed like it wasn't used in long time. From window you only see buildings and they probably see you as well. Bed was not comfortable as it was too soft.

Breakfast buffet was nice,healthy and diverse. Clean, no visible dirt anywhere. Focus on eco-friendly. Tap water is very fresh and no side taste (in Finland tap water is potable anyway).

This hotel is well equipped, my room was very comfortable and had all the amenities I required (except complementary water). The breakfast was good and set me up fir the day. The location a short distance from the centre of Helsinki is very good.

It was a bit cold in the room and even if trying to arrange the termostat it did not make any change. The rooms itself are nice and clean, the bathrooms would need an update and housekeeping should pay more attention to the bathroom hiden corners under the sink and shower. Breakfast area got crowded in the morning with limited space to sit. It is not comfortable to eat breakfast on table in the bar area. Hotel tries to be modern also offering self check in station. But if you wish to check in at reception it took to long. You gove them passport to check your details and then they make you write again your personal details on the paper again.

Overall impression of the hotel is fine with modern entrance, breakfast and bar area. Looks cosy and popular. Rooms are comfortable and sopacious enough with sofa to sit on. It is nice that hotel offers free wi-fi, connection to your own netflix account and is enviromentally friendly with their services. Selection of breakfast was fair and it offered variety of usuall breakfast offer.

I personally didn't like food in the restaurant too much (for breakfast and dinner) - too salty and not that tasty. But nothing too bad.

The bathroom was a bit old-looking and it was a bit cold (we didn't figure out how the AC works). Other than that, nothing to complain about.

From the outside, the building looks old, but it's quite modern inside. The room was cozy and quiet, breakfast was very tasty. The hotel is next to a huge mall with a train station below it, so excellent connections both for the city and beyond.

- Parking should have been free. - Tv-casting did not work in our room. - No slippers, cold to walk to toilet at night. - There could be something new from the breakfast menu for different days. - Small play area for kids.

Love the beds, the tub, the heated metal hanger, the water boiler and free hot drinks that can be made in our own room! Rooms are clean and staff are pleasant. The breakfast is yummy and that they are promoting recycling.

I found 4 empty beer cans in the wardrobe when I arrived at the hotel on my first day. I told them about it and they were never removed. I understand that I should have put them myself in the garbage but why I have to do this when I have told the receptionist twice about it? Plus the cleaning staff did they clean the room properly prior my arrival? The rest was perfect good breakfast and a quiet hotel.

I may explain it by the fact I was silly to have Russian as a basic language of a booking app in my phone. Our family usually speak Russian with each other. When we arrived and tried to check in at the reception desk, a receptionist suddenly asked us to show all our passports and then especially asked about my wife who has Russian passport with a residence permit in Estonia. She interested in her documents and also asked where is her Schengen visa. I answered that hotel clerk has no the same rights as police officer of border guard. Me and our daughters are Estonian citizens, but nevertheless we were asked about our reason to stay in Helsinki and the length of our stay as well after our check out. I consider such attitude as abuse of authority.

The Scandic Pasila hotel is situated in the neighborhood that is quite far from the city center. There are some advantages, e. g. one of the biggest shopping malls in Helsinki surrounded by the dynamically developing districts including the former industrial areas full of lofts, restaurants, cultural sites, etc. As for the hotel, it answers all standard expectations. Breakfast was various and delicious. Transport logistics is comfortable, a tram rides down behind the hotel windows, and a metro/railway station is located within the closer shopping mall.

The breakfast was very good and there was a mall across the street where my kids went and shopped several times so it gave them something to do. We were far from the city center, but we had a car, so it worked out OK there are no directions in English, we were not told where to park, and I ended up in the wrong parking lot and still I’m not sure how much I was charged for that. Overall, we did have a pleasant stay though, the hotel is clean, quiet, and we felt extremely safe.

Very friendly and helpful people. Excellent breakfast. The room was spacious enough. The hotel is in 10 min. walk from the Pasila train station with a lot of trains to Helsinki city center (approximately 5 min in train, it looks like all or almost all trains to the Helsinki main station go through Pasila). So, it is a really convenient place to reach activities in the center of Helsinki. Additionally, near the entrance to the hotel, there is a stop of a tram, which seems to go also to the center. The restaurant in the hotel is very good, but quite expensive, as almost all restaurants in Helsinki (the kitchen closes somewhat early). A lot of shops nearby in the Tripla Mall (5 min. walk).
