How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The tiles in the bathroom look like mold, but it was only the ugly design of them. There is no window, nor a bathroom extractor in the bathroom. We would have expected more advices about the activities/locations to do/visit nearby and how to reach them by boat or transfer. Good breakfast, but expensive.
Nice hotel with big swimming pool and friendly staff, at 2 minutes walking distance from Mavros Molos beach and in proximity of Balos and Elafonisi beaches.

Peli is so nice! Her and her family run an amazing hotel definitely more than the two-three stars, it says. Peli's mom makes a couple of homemade authentic Greek breakfast items each day, plus the fresh squeezed OJ, amazing. I really enjoyed my staying and the short talks I had with Peli. Will definitely visit again and recommend all going to Kissamos. Thanks, Peli! 💙

There simply is nothing that anyone couldn't like about the place; we were greeted by a beaming receptionist (Peli herself), who was so lovely that it felt like we had known her for aaaages (and we are not even particularly chatty). Peli then proceeded to give us all sorts of great tips and recommendations about what to do and what not to do (fully tailored for the length of time that we were staying). Trivial things that you later are thankful for. We hadn't initially opted for breakfast, but the homemade stuff on offer made us change our mind, and breakfast in the garden just was brilliant (complemented by tasty fresh orange juice, thanks to Peli's "small" brother). Honestly, words don't do this little place justice, you simply should try it out... Even if you have to go to Kissamos just to be at the hotel 🥰

room was very good. bathroom was clean. breakfast food was very good, lots of choice. the location was great. near the beach and supermarkets and restaurants. parking was plentiful.

We would have appreciated more guidance about the things to do and see in the surroundings and it would really add something to serve the breakfast near the swimming pool.
Perfectly situated in Kissamos. You just need to cross a small street and you have a lovely beach where you can swim and an excellent restaurant Maria Beach where you can have your dinner looking at the bay. The hotel is clean and the garden with the swimming pool are lovely. The breakfast is home made and excellent.

I would have enjoyed a wider choice at the pool bar - and especially ice creams!
great location, lovely family running it, always helpful. the swimming pool was always clean and very welcome, air conditioning in rooms. great breakfast with Cretan and other foods.

Everything was perfect. I wonder how this hotel has only got two stars. It was probably the best two star hotel I've ever been. The hosts were super nice and will give you tips on the local boat tours.

Great swimming pool with a bar, amazing breakfast (all home made or locally grown), very friendly Host (Penelope), nice and clean rooms with individual balconies, free pool towels, great location close to restaurants and local beaches. Overall excellent relaxed vacation vibe and atmosphere, and great for families.

The hotel is very close to bus station in Kissamos, convenient for people who travel with public tranportation. The room was clean. Breakfast was great and vary everyday. Everyone was super nice and helpful. I really enjoyed staying there.

This is a wonderful family hotel in Kissamos. The hotel is very clean and the staff amazing. The premises of the hotel were freshly painted with a lot of attention to detail. We were impressed with the quality of the breakfast. The handmade Greek pies, marmalades and cakes were delicious.

All was perfect, just the parking was a bit small but there is always plenty of space on the street.
Very pleasant family-run hotel, with a big swimming pool and private parking. It is almost front sea, and few minutes by foot from the town center. Peli and her family were very welcoming. Excellent breakfast with many homemade sweets and savory foods and fresh orange juice. Big nice room with balcony and comfy bed. The room and the hotel in general were very clean. We really enjoyed our days here and would definitely recommend it.
