The property is so special. You will live in a recently totally renovated/restored 500 years old porolithos stone house. The whole house has 4-5 units for rent sharing terraces, yard and a living room. Our unit had a spacious living room for our own and a bedroom with a bathroom. The service was definitely beyound our expectation! The host family welcomed the guests with some snacks. The surrounding map and popular spots were introduced. The host not only helped us to arrange a rental car for a day and schedule the departure taxi, she communicated with us while we were out to make sure everything is OK. The breakfast was fabulous and included in the stay. It’s not a buffet style, instead we were served like in the restaurant. On the last day, since we had to leave at 4am, a bag of sandwich and drinks was left in our fridge the night before. You can’t ask for more.

Absolutely beautiful property located in the old town. It was quiet and peaceful and we had no problem popping back and forth if we forgot something. Katerina was a brilliant host and helped us out with beach towels and pointing out the best things to do and the best ways to see the island. The breakfast was amazing every morning in the sunshine. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

I was in Rhodes for two days and what an exceptional stay...The hosts Katerina and Safiros bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. I have been to 20 countries and I can honestly say that the freshly cooked breakfast was the best I've experienced. The room and bathroom were clean and all amenities provided...the bed was extra large very comfortable as were the pillows. Privacy and no external noise was a bonus and considering the location it's a feat in itself. Everything is within walking distance and no fear of getting lost...but with age your feet may feel it🙃. I hope I will be back .....I love ❤️ the people... Rhodes is really the island of the sun god Helios.

Katerina & Zafeiris showed incredible hospitality during our stay in Rhodes. There warm welcome from the first night we arrived to our departure made our vacation truly unforgettable! They are such genuinely kind people. The hotel was beautiful and so unique. It has so much charm and character. Every detail in each room was beautiful. The work they have put in over the years to make the dream of Porolithos a reality is truly amazing. The breakfast spread that was made each morning was delicious and made with love. The location was fabulous and everything in Old Town & New town was walkable.

Nothing bad to say about Porolithos. However, I don’t understand why ceiling fans are not used in Greece; air movement makes rooms feel cooler and are less expensive than air conditioners.

The renovations of the building are superb. Each room is unique. Ours has a sitting room included. The breakfast was prepared and served with love. Katarina was kind, full of useful information about restaurants and activities, and always available.

Absolutely nothing. The location, communication, hospitality, and quaintness of the accommodations couldn't be beat. You don't get to stay at a restored hotel that's originally the home of a 14th century Crusader knight every day.

This is a MUST-STAY hotel if you're looking for great location, exceptional hospitality, quiet retreat, and quaint historic accommodations. Katerina and her husband renovated a historic building and created a quiet retreat at the heart of Rhodes old town. Not only does this boutique hotel have the most comfortable beds and high quality (and large assortment) toiletries, Katerina is the best host that we've ever come across in our world travels to over 15 countries. She was most communicative, returning my numerous inquiries related to tour guides and transportation within a business day, she spent 20 minutes with us upon arrival to provide us history and orientation for the Old Town of Rhodes. She also had great tips for restaurants (forwarded us a list of over 10 restaurant recommendations, sorted by location, along with suggestions for souvenir shops, etc.). Katerina also set us up with the best tour guide, who provided a great walking tour of Rhodes Old Town and took us to the less touristy parts of the ancient city. She arranged our airport transfers and booked our one-day rental car. The breakfast was amazing. We were served in our own private patio area. The food was delicious and very filling - we couldn't even finish everything. Katerina and her husband served us fresh scrambled eggs, traditional Greek breakfast pastry, fresh fruit, grilled panini ham and cheese sandwich, Greek yogurt, and more. Plus orange juice and coffee. It was absolutely wonderful and a very relaxing start to the morning. As an example of the exceptional hospitality at Porolithos, on our departure day she packed us a to-go breakfast to take on the way to the airport in our mini-fridge (because we left too early for breakfast). Katerina was the kindest and most amazing host. It really felt like we were staying with friends rather than at a hotel.

In the heart of Old Town it was perfectly located for our stay. The owner was exceptional and hugely accommodating. The villa was beautifully restored and quiet even though only footsteps from the stores and restaurants. Certainly we would return here on our next visit to Rhodes.

Superb location, stylish and comfortable. A fabulous restoration of a formerly derelict house in the heart of the old town in easy walking distance to all Rhodes Old Town sites. Caterina and her family were amazingly welcoming and informative. She supplied us with a list of excellent restaurant recommendations and places to visit and we thoroughly enjoyed all of them. The breakfasts were superb and varied and beautifully presented in the courtyard. Homemade jams and preserves, homegrown olives plus eggs, pastries, fruit, delicious yogurt, honey and cold meats. Caterina even arranged our golf buggy transport out of the old town, a must with heavy luggage!

Our room was very nice, but lacked a lot of natural light and air, but trying to keep authenticity you have to compromise somewhere. Also not enough places to put things like hair brushes, glasses, makeup..things you would put on a shelf or on top of drawers. Although there were 2 bedside tables, but that's being really picky

The hotel was absolutely beautifuly restored, keeping origional stone work, charm and authenticity. The host Katerina and her daughter, were very attentive, helpful, and could not do enough for us, also knowledgeable about the area with a little welcome chat and map. The room was very comfortable although small. Lovely to have toiletries in the room including conditioner . The Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, taken in a most beautiful courtyard made a great start to the day. Very highly recomended
