Absolutely fantastic, mindblowing view, friendly host. Facilities are a bit basic, with aircon only in the main room not in the bedroom and light smell from the pipes. Overall I would definitely go again though just for the view and feel of it.

The cooking facilities are quite basic but enough to make breakfast or a simple dinner.

Razos was a great place to stay on Ithaki. We took the ferry from Sami, and a short taxi ride got us to the windmill where our host was waiting with the keys. She was very welcoming and helpful, organising our transfers all the way from Argostoli Airport and helping with suggestions throughout the week we stayed. The windmill itself is in a great location, with a beautiful beach for swimming about five minutes walk away, and a half hour walk into Vathy for shopping, cafés, and restaurants. We hired a car for some days e-bikes for others, but often we just walked! The accommodation is clean and comfortable, with amazing views and beautiful gardens. It's a very peaceful place but maybe not suitable for small children (lots of steps and quite wild surroundings). It has air-conditioning (a blessing after the walk up the hill!) but it's location means you often get a nice breeze during the day.

The road leading up to the windmill is rather steep and curvy - so a small car is preferable :)

Living in this converted windmill was a very nice experience. Located secluded on a hillside with an amazing view of the islet to Vathy and the beautiful Dexa beach. Very welcoming hosts who offered us a gift basket with fruits and wine upon arrival. The host waited for us at Dexa beach and guided us up to the windmill. Highly recommended and ideal for larger companies to book both apartments (upper and lower). We we’re a family of three who stayed in the lower apartment on this occassion.

It certainly is not as described on the advert. The picture that sold it to me was the view outside the large window, however that is the top floor apartment. There are two apartments not the whole place as it says in the advert. We had the ground floor which had been set up for two single beds. We had to rearrange the room so I could sleep next to my wife. Even once we had done this, the beds were very uncomfortable with the springs digging into my ribs. The facilities inside are very basic. I would not have liked to cook dinner on a small hob and tiny oven. There was no instructions left for anything in the apartment we had no idea what to do with rubbish, air con, electrics etc... The air-conditioning unit is faulty and would not turn on properly most times, which is unfortunate as it drowns out the very loud gurgling noises the fridge makes. As others have said the road to the windmill is very very steep. The first time I just about made it in my very small hire car. In the end I basically chucked the car up the hill making sure I never stop until we got to the top. Good fun if a little scary for my wife in the passenger seat. Overall the only point that saved this place was the view as it was very expensive.

The view from the apartment is amazing. It was very relaxing watching the boats go in and out of Vathi. The terrace is lovely. Ithaca is an amazing island.

No hot water in kitchen and poor water pressure and temperature in shower. Coffee machine didn’t work properly. Too far from Vathy without hiring a car or paying for taxis. It was a picturesque building but too expensive for the facilities it provided. It was quiet but not clear on booking that the windmill is two apartments and you have to share the terrace so lacked the privacy we were expecting. The bathroom sliding door didn’t work and one of us was locked in

The facilities (kitchen and bathroom) were very basic and the water pressure in the shower was too low. The road to get to the property is very steep (difficult for drivers that are not experienced enough).

The location is amazing, with stunning view and beautiful terrace.

Hosts - communication. It was not at all clear in booking that we did not have the whole windmill to ourselves but that it was split into two separate’ properties’ - one upstairs and one downstairs, with shared outside space and parking etc. The website is misleading and needs to be changed. Communication (emails etc.) was very difficult - No or poor English - and they could definitely have been more helpful.

The location is obviously the best thing by far. Incredible 180 degree plus sea view.

It has a stunning view over one of the most peaceful bays in Ithaki, a great outdoor terrace to sunbathe in absolute privacy or eat under the pergola. It’s the ideal place if you’re looking for privacy: the only unexpected visitors were some peacocks who passed by in the evening.
