How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The lodge is just beautiful! The rooms are spacious and cozy, they are nicely decorated and equipped with all necessary appliances for the stay. The location is close enough to the city center and the mount Olympus tracks, yet far enough so you won't hear the noise. Dont forget to ask for the home made Greek cuisine breakfast. Without a doubt, agreed by all family members, the best breakfast we had in Greece. The owner was a mountain climbing guide, so he has good tips for those who are going to the tracks in the area

Nothing, perfect for what we needed.
We really enjoyed the breakfast, homemade, local produce with something for every taste. Perfect location, walking distance to the town but quiet as on the outskirts. The owner is very helpful, providing information on hiking on Mount Olympus and where to eat.

I liked everything about my stay! It was very welcoming, cozy, friendly. It’s like visiting your good good friend. Try their breakfast not only it is delicious but also 100% homemade (even the marmalade and all the pastries). Recommend and we will definitely come back

The bed was a little hard— with a foamy mattress topper I could live there!
DELICIOUS breakfast. The owner was so kind and the food was all local and tasted just amazing. The vibe of the place was absolutely pristine- it felt so good to go adventure and come back “home” there each day. The service was exceptional— treated us so beautifully. Perfect location, extremely quiet, by the magical mountains and a nice stroll down the mountain to the cute village. Would revisit 10000%.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location to walk into town and very close to the trails to hike Mt. Olympus. Breakfast was also delicious! I highly recommend this place!

We could not find the airco in the room so it was quite warm. No other negative items.

The blankets were too thin and we had to ask extra blankets and still i was cold and had to sleep in full clothes in order to keep warm. We stayed in September. We like more privecy and a privet balcony. And we didn't have it there.
I loved the amazing breakfast, the staff and the mountain view. I am vegan and havibg hard time to find goid food in greece. This was the best breakfast for me. The staff were very helpful and kind. The mountain view and proximiry was nice. The lobby area was welcoming and cozy.

Nothing It’s perfect
A beautiful stone house at the upper part of the village. Warm and familiar hosts. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast is delicious.
