The pool needs some serious maintenance, the deck is uneven and splintered, the stairs are hanging loose and swing when you get on them,the garden is part dirt part long grass, and half the pricacy screens are missing. Also maybe due to being the highest set house in the area, it is very windy around the house, coming from all sides at once. You can't open a window or door partly, because there are no hooks to secure them. Also there is a very pushy cat (and we love cats) that will push or sneak his way in, also when you're about to head out. The kitchen smelled of cat urine, so he probably does that all the time. Not enough parking space, we thought being a house this would be no issue, but at some times there would be 3 other cars on our doorstep.

The villa was spacious with breathtaking views in all directions - with the 360 degree view from the roof terrace as an excellent spot to view the sunset. Our host Maria was very friendly and helpful and greeted us upon our arrival. The villa was very clean and included everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The neighborhood was peaceful and rural, but with several great restaurants and a supermarket a short walk away.

Initial instructions as to find the property we slightly hard to follow. And the trip across the mountain pass from Chania was both spectacular and vertigo inducing.

Location really good - close to the main resort beaches, but also some much quieter coastal lagoons. 10 minutes walk to nearest shops and restaurants. Pool was great, as was the views from the multiple balconies on the property. Bieng able to borrow bikes an unexpected bonus. Quite breezy!

location is perfect and the rooms are quiet, and extremely cleaned, well equipped with everything one may need. Our accommodation was surrounded by olive trees, and had a beautiful porch with dining wooden table.

Being in the countryside it is understandable that there are some insects in the kitchen, even if this is not always a pleasure. The downhill stairs to access the house are narrow and uncomfortable when you pass with suitcases (in fact there are no photos of the access to the house with 2 bedrooms), the wooden garden furniture needs an urgent and good maintenance (some chairs are poorly repaired and rocking, one of the tables has slats to fix). The kitchen hood needs to be cleaned better. But I think the real weak point is the bathroom, which is really nice to the eye! Unfortunately it is really small to handle 4 people, after the showers there is always water that does not go away in the sink side. The sink is not very accessible due to the limited space, when you bend down after brushing your teeth you will hit your head on the bulky light because it is positioned too low (unique and scarce for the whole bathroom!) The same will be if you want to mirror yourself well, as put on the other side (I recommend inverting light with mirror, and placing the light higher).

Great location to visit Elafonisi, beautiful country style house, nice swimming pool (sun until 1pm, pleasant for refreshment after the beach or in the hot evening ) and kindness of the owners.

The communication with the host was very nice from the beginning on all the way until we left. he house has a great location only few km from the beach away and the new pool is amazing. The building itself doesn't heat up too much as the Irdia is located downstairs below the other appartments.

A mix of styles, both old stone-house and modern mismatch. Squeaky bed frame, old closet, the pool is so small it’s only useful for small kids. The details inside are poor quality, finish touches without care.

There’s nothing that we didn’t like apart from not being able to stay longer!!

The country house was beautiful and traditional with plenty of space. The outside area was amazing with swimming pool, sun loungers, table chairs etc. incredible views all around of mountains, greenery and the sea. Friendly cats came to greet us everyday. The location is perfect if you want peace & tranquility and nature. The hosts are lovely people & gave us walking directions to get to two local little coves which were stunning & not touristy. Since neither of us drove they were very kind to drop us off to elafonissi beach & picked us up afterwards. We are thoroughly grateful for their hospitality. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this place.

The air conditioning was not strong enough for this season of the year and there was no fan. The TV was not working (apart from YouTube). There weren’t any shutters; therefore, if you cannot sleep with sun light, you just have to wake up. Finally, photos of the places are misleading. We were assigned the Fierry Sunny (the wooden cabinet) which does not have a pool; nevertheless, when booking is not clear if the apartment comes with a pool or not.

The manager was very friendly and helpful. The WiFi had a problem and she immediately tried to fix it.

There would be some minor things to fix in the house, the bathroom and bedroom door didn’t close so well, but overall everything it’s a great place.

Dream location for a holiday in Efalonisi, it was truly the best place we stayed in Crete. We were into the white cottage, surrounded by beautiful olive trees and close to all the beach places. In the house there was everything. The swimming pool was great. Would definitely come back here.

It would have been better if we had been met on arrival and shown around as no information at all in the house. Some of the garden furniture and safety rails were broken or loose . The swimming pool access was steep and would have been dangerous for a young child . there was no hot water when we arrived . There was no privacy in the garden, guests from other properties were regularly walking past. Parking was tricky when all properties were occupied

We stayed at Villa Irida a 2 bed ground floor apartment with a private pool overlooking the wonderful mountain view and patio with the Monastery and sea view. Apartment has a rustic touch which is charming. All facilities like oven, washing machine, hob are there. We had a wonderful time in the pool. There is enough patio chairs and sunbeds to chill around. Walkable by 10 mins is Mini Market/Taverna/Pizzeria. The famous Elafonisi Beach is just 10 min drive away. And White Lake beach which was a hidden gem less than 5 mins away by car. Best of all was how Maria took care of us for every small thing and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was brilliant!
