We loved everything about the traditional villa. Unique bathrooms and thin mattresses are part of the experience.

It was the perfect location for a quiet holiday. The villa was exactly as described and pictured. It was directly above Mandraki Beach and as guests of the villa, there was no charge for the sun loungers. The decks provided excellent views of the water. Spiros was a fabulous host. He met us at Hydra port and escorted us by water taxi to the villa. He provided recommendations for activities, shopping and restaurants. We also really enjoyed Leftaris Taverna that was adjacent to the villa!

The view and the villa are stunning. You can hear the sound of the sea from the bedroom. The owner Spiros is very kind, he gave us lots of good recommendations and was very helpful with everything. Would love to come back!

The hot water in the second bathroom ran out fairly quickly. Could use a new coffee maker.

The Villa Mandraki was beautiful, sitting above the Mandraki Bay and tavern with anchored yachts in the harbor. Incredible views. An easy mile walk from Hydra Port, it was nice to come home from the hubbub of the harbor and be in total peace and quiet.

Nothing negative…we had what we needed.

The location is breathtaking! It was wonderful to be on the beach with a friendly taverna at the bottom of the stairs. We spent hours each day swimming and snorkeling in the crystal clear water. The outdoor spaces of the villa were positioned to get shade at different times of the day. We stayed with two children so having two bathrooms was super helpful. Spiros was a perfect host. He met us off the ferry and took us by sea taxi to the villa to check in. He provided water, wine and a few basics until we got to the store the next day, which was super helpful after a very long travel day. Our daughter would say that all the cats were her favorite. Our son loved the water and boat watching!

Great location and villa was lovely. Spiros was an excellent host with some valuable suggestions on where to eat and what to do. We absolutely loved Hydra planned to stay on the island for 3 nights ended up staying 6 as it was so relaxing and easy to get about either on foot or by water taxi. Would very happily revisit.

We loved this property!! we visited from NYC for a wedding and everyone was staying in the harbor and we wanted a villa outside of town with beach access - and this is exactly what we found! a charming villa in an enchanting location, with a restaurant and access to a beach resort. water ferries go between the villa and town each hour (5 min ride) or you can hire a water taxi or walk (the walk is stunning!) … the villa owner, Spiros was absolutely amazing and helped so much before we even arrived and was very kind during our stay - he had amazing restaurant recommendations and he has a lovely jewelry shop in town you must visit! Spiros was very accommodating when our flight was cancelled and we missed our first night, and we ended up staying extra days because we loved the villa so much!

Great location ... quiet and away from the crowds of Hydra but a quick 7min boat ride or 20min walk from the centre of town. Overlooks a small cove and quiet beach. It was perfect!

Wonderful location above the beach, with beautiful views from each balcony! Lovely taverna just below the villa with very friendly owners and staff. Hydra town just a 25 minute walk or quick ferry taxi journey.

When we arrived at Hydra town, Spiros met us and took us to the property in a water taxi. Such a nice touch. The villa is on a beautiful little beach with its own small taverna, and within walking distance of the town for a delicious evening meal. Great place.

A charming apartment in a really beautiful location. The view over Mandraki bay from the terraces is stunning. Excellent communication with Spiro, and we appreciated the little touches such as a welcome bottle of wine and providing beach towels.

The apartment really is great and the only thing that would have made it more comfortable would have been fans. The rooms all have air conditioning but I find sleeping with a fan and open windows preferable.

Villa Mandraki is perfectly situated above a quiet little beach, sun beds provided by a taverna next door. The apartment was clean with great views from two terraces and a balcony. It is an easy fifteen minute walk from hydra port and a 20 euro boat taxi if you can’t face the walk. The host Spiros is friendly and helpful, happy to give advice on restaurants and beaches. We hope to come and stay again.

No recommendations for improvement, everything was perfect.

Spiros took excellent care of us - meeting us at the port of arrival in Hydra town and arranging for a water taxi to take us to the Villa (which made it easy to travel with our bags). We wanted this stay to be a getaway from the normal hustle and bustle of travel within Greece, and we got exactly that. All of our needs were met! This location was the perfect escape from it all, while still being convenient to Hydra town.

Updated facilities , bit more attention to detail on toiletries. No shower gel or soap left, but 9 mini bottles of shampoo!

Breakfast poor one miniature pack of butter for 2 days and two people. Coffee percolator with no coffee or filters provided. Had to go next door to mandraki resort for breakfast.
