How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing - I happy with everything.
Loved everything about it - the room was perfect and always clean. Tina was really kind -nothing too much trouble. Swimming pool wonderful.

Family run. Tina is brilliant and couldn’t be more helpful. She went out of her way to help us, especially in the last day.

Nice apartment in walking distance to the beach. Room was clean and well equipped, with small kitchen. Bed was comfortable but a bit short for my 196cm tall husband :-D Nice and cheerful owner who helped us with all we needed. We loved the host´s small friendly dog Laura

Stamatia (our host) was very very nice and courteous. The rooms are cleaned every day and you also get fresh towels. Everyone was very nice and you feel in good hands in Villa Popi. If you have any questions or a request, you will be helped directly. The entire facility is clean and you have also parking spots there. The coffee and frape at the bar are the best! Next time when we're in Kos we will come again to Villa Popi.

Lovely and very clean studio near the sea. Warmhearted and helpful lady manager who makes you feel like coming home. Air conditioning functioned very well to combat the 33 heatwave outside.

Everything was perfect

A small suggestion: breakfast could be improved with a little bit more sweets ;)
Villa Popi is an incredible place to stay in the center of Kamari, the small village in the island of Kos (in Kefalos). It is the best place to stay because it is near all the little shops and restaurants of the village but also near the most beautiful beaches of the island. The structure is freshly renowned and Tina is an amazing host, a real authentic strong Greek woman who loves to take care of her hosts. We will surely come back!

The breakfast was good. Very clean. Cleaned every day . Towels and sheets changed every 2 days. Tina was very helpful and friendly. Short walk to the beach. Pool area very good.

The bathroom is a bit too small for a fullsize person, but was managable.
Close to the tavernas, it was very peaceful, no traffic noise. Clean appartment. Good breakfast. Family owned and operated business. Sufficient parking on the premises. Super A/C without a draft. Fridge was cooling to my satisfaction. Tina is always in a good mood. Her dog Laura needs to be petted.

No complains what so ever. Everything was to my liking.
Very friendly host. Tina and her dad are taking care of the guests. I felt welcome. The breakfast was good. The WLAN had a strong signal and was useful. The room comprises of a kitchenette with a good cooling fridge. There is a TV with one English and one German channel. There is a safe and an A/C unit in the room which I never used because it cools off at night at this time of the year. There is a small balcony with a view overlooking the seaside. Smoking on the balcony is permitted. The cute family dog named Laura wants to be petted. Sufficient parking space is available inside the compound. It's very quiet at nightime because there is no mainroad nearby
