Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe owner of this property is a delightful Greek lady. She made us feel really welcome and from time to time gave us gifts of fruit from her garden. The property was well kept and clean. Its location is fairly close to the heart of Batsi. Built on a hill, there is a path which slopes down with some steps to the harbour, shops and tavernas. It takes about 4 minutes to reach the harbour.

United StatesThe rooms are a bit outdated but for the price you pay it's fine.
The location is great as it's only a short walk to the restaurants and shops.

SwedenPerfect location above the beautiful Batsi bay! Impressive swimming pool, a nice little bar and the most friendly and service-minded owner (Rena)! The rooms were simple but have everything you need for a relaxing vacation e.g. a balcony with a great view, AC and a comfortable bed!

GermanyMiss Rena was incredibly friendly and helpful. We would have our daily talks, and she would give us suggestions on how to best explore the island of Andros. Furthermore, she helped us find a car rental, and it really felt like she wanted to take care of us. All in all extremely happy.

Rena was an incredibly welcoming hostess. The location was excellent an easy walk into Batsi. The room had a beautiful view and was very clean and comfortable. The pool was great, it was a shame we only had time to use it once! If I return to Andros I would certainly stay there again.

NetherlandsWe had a wonderful holiday at Villa Rena. The hostess is a very friendly and attentive lady who did her best to make us feel welcome. The villa has an enormous garden, full of trees and quiet little corners where you can enjoy a book in the shadow. The terrace by the pool is charming and very nicely decorated with Rena’s and her son’s paintings. Very child and family friendly place, the garden even has a small playground. We also loved the breakfast, which included among others homemade loquat and cactus fruit jams. We will definitely stay there again if we return to Andros.

GreeceWe had no issues to report...it might not be best location for handicap accessibility needs as there are steps...though host does have rooms directly attached to street with car accessibility and this should be specifically requested.
Loved the location and facility with a gorgeous garden loaded with fruit trees and flowers..with many secluded corners to sit and read a book. The pool area was awsome and impeccably clean. The Hostess Rena is a gem of a woman..very generous made continental breakfast and went out of her way to Accomondate our tastes. She went and got the bread we preferred. All the jams are organic and made from fruits in her garden..we tried her lomquat jam and prickly pear. The beach is a short walk down..the path leading to beach is extremely beautiful, stone pathways under foliage and blossoms. We loved the location and property.Full kitchenette with refrigerator and balcony with view.Restaurants and shops minutes away walking.

GreeceMs Rena is the best example of Greek hospitality that you can find on your vacation. Original, kind and helpful. For me is one of the reasons to come back to the island, along with the great experience that Andros provides in general.

NetherlandsNothing, I was the only guest because almost end of season and Rena was so sweet to invite me if I needed company.
Rena is very helpful and makes sure you have a relaxing holiday. The apartment is clean and cozy and its only a kopple of minutes walk down the stairs to all the restaurants and shops etc. I liked being on the hill, the view is amazing and the pool is fantastic with a terrace garden with created seats everywhere. I liked Villa Rena very much. And the cats were soooo sweet! Just as Rena, she is very loving! Thank you Rena and say hi to your cats and hug for you!
