There is no elevator and no pool. Also, they were very slow in the restaurant. We waited very long for food and to receive our bill after eating. The staff at the restaurant were friendly but could likely benefit from some customer service training. The food was tasty and well prepared.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful well-kept grounds. This is an excellent location in Georgetown close to Bourda Market, Botanical Gardens, St. George Cathedral, Stabroek Market, Shopping Centres, etc.

Since covid the management have taken away the chairs outside each room. That was a nice feature and should be reinstated. We also used to appreciate the complimentary biscuits and snacks that were left in the room pre covid - they have gone too.

The ambience is lovely - old colonial wooden house with relaxed vibes.

It took a long-time to get hot water in the shower. This is however a general problem with hotels in Guyana. The lack of a pool is definitely a disadvantage for Cara Lodge. The owners should consider building a pool for the guests.

The hotel is a charming historic building. I could however benefit from a renovation preserving its character.

Staff behavior was very bad specially reception was pathetic. This hotel is racially biased. if you are white guy, you will treated well otherwise you are unwelcome guest. Staff does not even bother to smile.I spent around 500USD in this hotel but I was not treated as par with other guest. I still can't forgot way lady at reception looked at me and talk to me. It was horrible experience.

Reception staff were not welcoming and not particularly helpful. The room was shabby with most of the bathroom equipment decrepit. We stayed in Lace b and b the next day and for less than half the price the quality was an order of magnitude higher.

Beautiful colonial setting, nice bar staff and good cocktails.

Staff a bit slow (in Restaurant and in Reception). Saying that they are superfriendly.

Perfect Boutique / Heritage Hotel. I would recommend CARA Lodge with 100%. Location is perfect; I could walk to all sights from the hotel. In case you need a taxi its easy to order at the reception. You just need taxi in case you need to go airport or nighttime (highly recommended not to walk in Georgetown by night). I loves this place an dwill be back in this Hotel in case I visit Georgetown again. Restaurant in Hotel offers great trinidad food, I loved the curry (and the beer :-) )
