Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsIt is a very charming apartment with optimum facilities and a great view. It is walking distance from the centre, the view from the balcony is amazing. The hosts are amazing, they are amazing to strike a conversation with and have some really good recommendations as well.

PolandThe guests are extremely friendly and professional. They are. real traditional farmers with an olive grove and sheep which add extra genuine experience to the stay. They also gave us loads of free food they produce. It was an amazing holiday

ItalyThe building on the outside and the patio looks really nice, but the interior of the appartment is very simple and to some it might look a dated. For us this was not a issue at all, but for some people it might be underwhelming.
Really good value for price . Close to everything even if its a bit uphill for us is not big deal. The host are lovely people, super kind, both wanted to meet us and have a little chat, and we got to try some figs form their tree. The appartment is comfortable, clean and fresh (the bed is just ok). There's a kitchenette with enough utensils to cook simple meals (it would be nice though if they could provide some esencials to cook like oil, salt, maybe a spice or two. I think there was some sugar and a almost empty container of salt) Theres a big balcony with a beatiful view that we were able to enjoy in the evenings. Overall we had an amaizing stay and would totally recommend staying here!

LatviaThe internet connection was not good, very low connection that often didn’t work. Quite a small apartment for 5 people but ok for a week. No washing machine but the owners mother will let you do a wash for €10 (not stipulated on the booking conditions) but she did our first wash for free.
Close to Supetar town centre, large balcony with fantastic view. Beds were comfortable and the property was clean. Enough utensils and cooking pots for our needs. No lounge but kitchen table was good size and balcony had good table and chairs. The owner was very helpful via email.

GermanyI was originally staying at a resort hotel and then had to leave because a group of 300 children were arriving. I booked Apt. Jaksic online. The host actually came and picked me up at the resort hotel and drove me to Jaksic. The host owns an olive grove: he brought me a jar of olives from his grove, he also gave me a bowl of his own olive oil and gave me a jar of his homemade fig marmalade. He also explained exactly how he prepared these goods. He was having some type of family celebration that weekend, and the next day his wife gave me and my two friends slices of cake. The apartment is a perfect size with two bedrooms (double bed and single bed). The kitchenette has a small fridge and a hot plate. There is a wonderful balcony that allows you to see the sea. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the ferry and the city centre. The internet is strong with no interruptions. This is the place to stay...as you walk from this place down to the water, you will walk through a village and see the architectural charm of Croatia. Be sure to buy a jar or two of his olive oil grown and pressed by him---no better way to get it. This is a gem and the owners are angels.

Latviaa bit outdated decoration and the kitchen stove. bathroom could use some maintenance. mosquitos in the bedroom if you forget to close all doors and windows. the bed is a bit short for anyone over 5.5 feet high. the street is very narrow so those with a car will find getting there and parking quite challenging.
a short walk from the port (but uphill all the way), in a beautiful house. my room had a balcony with a sea view and i strongly recommend you to get this room with a sea view because the view compensates for some things you may not like about your stay. the apartment has all the necessary amenities and appliances. thick stone walls keep it cool inside so i haven't used the AC at all.

CroatiaSqueaky bed and it's a bit far from the beach.
A view from the balcony. You are looking to the Supetar's main bay, and it's beautiful. Also, hosts were very nice and approachable. Recommended!!

PolandMaybe the signal of wi-fi should be improved. But that's actually a minor inconvenience. You can survive a few days, cyber-detox :).
Honestly, I fell in love with the place itself. the location of the apartment was really convenient, especially if you prefer silence and specatacular views. Not far from the beach and the centre, close to popular supermarkets - Lidl, Konzum, Tommy, to do some shopping (we prepared the meals ourselves). The owner provided us with a parking space although it wasn't exactly in front of the apartment. The streets are really narrow (that's the beauty of the place) so you have to be really careful while driving :). The apartment was equipped with a kettle, coffee machine, a fridge, a microwave oven as well as a cooker. The washing machine wasn't in the apartment but there was a possibility to use it.

ItalyThere was no effort to make this apartment comfortable or functional. No bath soap or any other toiletries, only one roll of toilet paper for three nights (!), no coffee or even filters for the coffee maker…. Towels were like cardboard/sandpaper.
Great view from the small, outdoor terrace, which is what lured us into booking. But that terrace is up against the neighbors next door so no privacy, and is beneath their bathroom window which is very awkward and uncomfortable.

United KingdomThere are multiple units to rent in the same house and the pictures are not very clear as to what you will be getting. The following comments are with regards to the unit on the ground floor. It’s much darker and older than what it looks like on the pictures and it wasn’t very clean. We also were asked not to turn the Air Conditioning (AC) on by the tenants in unit above us as the AC was too loud for them to sleep at night - fairly unpleasant given warm evenings in August. And some other French tenants were fairly rude, refusing to wait 10’ to turn the BBQ on while we were finishing dinner with young children on the patio (BBQ is less than a meter away from the patio table).
Genuinely lovely host, very warm and welcoming. They offered us some olives and olive oil from their own trees, absolutely delightful.

PolandJaksic apartment is located around 300 meters from the marina. The neighborhood is really calm and quiet. We loved the view from the balcony. The owner is really helpful, always smiling and will greet you with a nice present. If you want to visit island Brač - this is the place to go.
