Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomDubrovnik is a hilly city and Villa Klaic is at the top of a hill with no direct road access. It is adjacent to a main road with no pavement so walking from the airport taxi to the Villa was a bit dodgy. Walking down to the City was easy however, and once you had mastered the buses then transport was a lot easier - and buses are included in the excellent Dubrovnik Card
Villa Klaic was clean, the breakfast was great and Milo was a wonderful host. Our room was clean and comfortable with our enjoyment marred only by neighbours who were constantly playing loud music.

South AfricaThe place was beautiful. Our room was very comfortable and our host was a lovely and friendly guy that welcomed us on arrival. We also saw him everyday at breakfast and made the coffee. He offered us beach towels when we went on beach excursions and made our stay very comfortable.

FinlandGood breakfast, enough variety for everyone; youghurt, cheeses, ham, fruits and berries, bread, muesli and flakes. Great location with very beautiful view to the sea. Nice swimming pool on premises. My room was very nice with good bed and extra points for good pillows. Superb bathroom, very clean and looks brand new. Shower was like a space shuttle with multiple showerheads... The climb from the old town back is quite hard with lots of steps, so bear that in mind booking this accommodation if you have knee problems. Owner Milo is extremely nice and helpful, i really enjoyed our little conversations during my stay.

SwedenGreat relation price – what you get. No essential negatives.
Small but very nice and fresh breakfast, lots of fruits. Great coffee. Very clean rooms and facilities. Very attentive, helpful, friendly staff. 15 min walk to the center, mostly stairways. Small pool, great ocean view from breakfast room and pool area. I'd recommend it and would return if Dubrovnik was on my list.

United StatesSteep steps were a bit intimidating for us as seniors.
Loved the property overall.. the view is fantastic, huge room with small balcony and kitchen facilities. Great choices for continental breakfast. Nearby bus service to town for those not wanting to walk. Biggest bonus was our host, Milo who was not only focused on our comfort but made you feel like family.

United KingdomNone for us but-There are a lot of steps to get to Pile gate in the old town (we counted over 400!) which you should be aware of.
Milo is a really can-do host with enthusiasm and a helpful attitude. He helped us with parking, provided us with a welcome drink and tips on where to go. Well appointed room with up to date fixtures.

FinlandThe location is quite a bit uphill and there's tons of steps to get down or up from old town. So while the views are amazing (if you get a sea view balcony), people with mobility issues might have a hard time walking around. You can use a taxi of course.
The man who runs the place, Milo, is such a great guy you instantly feel like home. Solid breakfast, complimentary beer, tips and advice on what to do and where to go. Fixing small issues like my plane landing in Kosovo due to bad weather... no problems :D The rooms were cleaned daily and overall the place and the pool was very nice and clean. Such a great place I strongly recommend it!

Villa Klaic Our recent stay at Villa Kalic was an absolute dream! From start to finish, everything about this experience exceeded our expectations, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. One of the highlights of our trip was the outstanding hospitality provided by the Milo and Michael at Villa Kalic. From the warm welcome (with cold refreshments) upon our arrival, to the delicious breakfast throughout our stay, the team went above and beyond to make us feel like VIP guests. Their attention to detail and genuine care for our well-being truly made a difference in our experience. The room was clean, quiet and spacious. Milo even filled our fridge daily with our favourite drinks. The private pool and terrace area were a haven of relaxation. We spent many afternoons basking in the sun and taking refreshing dips in the pool. It was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the charming streets of Dubrovnik. Furthermore, the location of Villa Kalic was ideal for exploring. With the Old Town and its historic attractions just a short walk down hill, we were able to immerse ourselves in the city's rich culture and history effortlessly. For stunning views of the city, I would highly recommend taking the path up to the top of the hill, just behind the villa. If you are looking for a charm and exceptional hospitality then look no further. Villa Kalic will exceed your every expectation. Thank you to the Milo and your wonderful team for making our stay truly exceptional! We cannot wait to return.
