How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I didn't like the fact that tap water, which is perfectly drinkable in Zagreb, was to high temperature. It was not possible to drink tap water and I had the feeling that was done with purpose. To make us drink bottled water from the minibar.
Everything. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Facilities are very clean. Rooms are very nice and clean.

the tv did not work properly from the beginning of our 3-night stay, and the telephone to call reception did not work through the entire stay, the breakfast is good if you get there early as otherwise there are no available tables to sit at
the room was super clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good

we travelled with 6m old child, and staff was very kind to us. We were provided with a baby cot, and lots of help. great open buffet for breakfast, and excellent coffee 24/7. staff speaking good English

The remote controls were not too attractive-looking. The room temperature was set to 26 (!) degrees by default and there is no way to regulate it within the room, though the receptionist set it to 21 for us after having asked for it. The pillows were a tad too hard for our taste. In the early morning on a Saturday, there was construction work going on right next door to the hotel that woke us up. Overall, these are minor annoyances.
Very friendly receptionist who - after realizing our request for two neighbouring rooms could not be fulfilled - offered us free drinks in the bar. The breakfast was great.

There was a bright light over the door in my room. (I guess security issue) I woke up because I couldn't make the room completely dark.
Extremely friendly generous staff. I could fill my water bottle at their water dispenser for free for example. Great breakfast for just 6 €.

The hotel is modernly equipped. The beds were very comfortable - we had a super relaxing sleep. We also loved the breakfast which offered a lot of choices and was prepared with love and detail. The employees were lovely and helpful and also the gym was great.

By now I always use this hotel for business trips to Zagreb. Free parking below and close to the hotel. Very large rooms, excellent cleanliness and comfort. Friendly and helpful staff. Abundant breakfast. There are various dinner locations nearby. Recommended.

construction going on next door.. but doesn’t bother us.. they are done by 5 pm.
very convenient. free parking and easy walking distance to take tram to the center square . the staff were simply amazing. Marte at the front desk gave us recommendations on how to get into town and great restaurant for dinner

The staff was very friendly and helpful, he room was very clean (especially the bathroom) and the guy at the breakfast tried to speak Hebrew and made our morning :) Unfurtunatly I didn't ask his name.
