The hotel is located within the fortress itself, and it has a very unique feel to it, it's unlike any other classic chain hotels. All rooms are decorated differently, and upon arrival we were able to choose which room we would prefer. The location is excellent, we were there during the Advent time so our room faced the street with all the stalls and the concert stage so it was a bit noisy, but we didn't mind. The staff is lovely and helpful, and they try to provide answers to any questions you might have. The breakfast is included in the price, and has a very cosy feeling to it as the someone from the staff is cooking at the stove and asks each person individually what they would like. There are some spiral stairs, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage. The price is a bit above average for Osijek, but our stay was lovely so I would recomment it.

Dorotea is a great new acquaintance that would be the primary reason for choosing samme place. Beautiful garden to enjoy a beer, very welcoming bar downstairs with a variety of rakija. Fantastic breakfast with everything. Interesting surroundings

Nothing really

Lovely old building in old part of town. Great facilities including nice garden and bike repair workshop. I had a puncture on my bike and Philip, one of the staff, went to a lot of trouble to help me fix it. Lots of bars and a few nice restaurants nearby.

The location of the hotel is perfect, in the middle of the city centre, there was a lot of parking space and all the bars and restaurants were very close. Hotel is located in the old building and it has all the charm and historical features like old furniture, wooden floor, high celings, garden is beautiful. Breakfast is homemade and personal. Hosts are perfect. Everything was perfect.

If I must name something, the bathroom could have been a bit bigger.

The location is absolutly perfect, middle in the fortress-area, cobblestones streets, Baroques buildings. And the hosts are the cherry on the top. Friendly, knowledgeable.

Great atmosphere! Hotel staff is the best staff we ever worked with. We had some issues with our artist (not connected with hotel) who stayed in the hotel, hotel staff helped us and had a lot of understanding for our mistake. So this is the best hotel we had in our business. Every recommendation and will stay at Maximilian again! Friendly staff, the nicest hotel in town Osijek!!!

I was 100 percent satisfied and cannot think of anything that could have been better.

Lovely place with a wonderful atmosphere in old quarters close to the river in Osijek town. The staff, Filip and Dora, gave the best possible service you can expect. Breakfast was complete and prepared according to my preferences with scrambled eggs, juice, tea, fruits and all kinds of bread and cheese. I would love to stay there again if I ever pass by Osijek.

Maksimilian was one of the best and cosiness accomodation we have enjoyed în our trips and that's not only because of the perfect location inside the historical area of Osijek, of the rooms confort, well equiped with everything a traveller needs, the very good breakfast and posibility for car parking but mainly due to the very friendly and help-ul staff! We loved to chat about tourism, history and books and for sure we will come again here!

Hotel is located in the beautiful old town of Osijek, near few parks, isolated of traffic and noise, but very well connected with other parts of town. Hotel staff are very nice people and food was great.
