Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaNo Croatia food, we have breakfast and lunch, breakfast was every day same, I would like to see more Croatia food on menu. Also early lunch until 2pm isnt the best choice if it is until 4pm it would be much better. Hotel has 9 floors and 2 elevators and then one was broken. We spend half of day waiting to go up and down. We have stroller and we really needed elevator. Also pictures on Booking have very nice Photoshop, reality is slightly different. In Lobby I would make area only for small kids, since there was a lot of quests with small kids. They have 3 toys however it is placed in area where everyone is sitting, I would make some small corner only for kids under 5 years, that would be very nice. Room was very small. Crab was broken and only luck saved us that our child will not be hurted. Tv in the room was 20 years old with very bad picture its better that they remove it and no Tv then this one. Also WI FI is only in Lobby, restaurant, no wi fi in room very bad considering that is Hotel in Valmar group.
Close to Beach, very nice Staff, Lobby is very nice

United KingdomThe rooms need some attention. Curtains had small holes in them, Bathroom is functional but dated. We asked clearly for 3 single beds per room. 1 room was set up this way but the other was not and when asked, we were told, that is the way they are set up. A member of house keeping eventually helped by providing separate duvets so I was not sharing one with my friend. Overall - staff okay and courteous but did not feel that they went out of their way with customer service.
The buffet food had lots of choices and was nice. Pool facilities were lovely, lots of sun loungers - as long as you put out a towel early enough or lots of loungers down by the sea for a few euro's a day. The reception / lounge area was very comfortable and wifi only in this area. nice area to relax. The tree area around the hotel is great and fantastic views on the sea front. 20 mins walk into the town but a little train is available for 2 euro's each Beds comfy Be prepared for lots of steps or v steep ramps down to pool and sea front - okay for us but be prepared

United KingdomThe breakfast was ok but access to the good coffee machine was terrible. There was either a very long queue or the machine was completely empty. We only had one good coffee from the machine in our 10 day stay. Lunch was not always that good. By the time we got to the dining room around 1pm the food was dry or some dishes unavailable. One Friday the lunch was so bad we didn't eat anything. Not great fans of sharing tables with other people either. We tried to stay in the quieter areas but often there was not cutlery there. We were on the 8th floor and the lift took ages, we resorted to using the service lift on most occasions. Nonetheless we can't say that the staff was friendly and the guests movements in the restaurants were chaotic and dangerous sometimes.
The view from the bedroom was lovely. The chambermaid was the best we ever had, nothing was ever missing and she left everything so clean.

GermanyI booked for my parents and kindly asked the hotel if I could pay the whole amount with my credit card so they would not have to pay anything upon arrival. I was told that the first night will be charged from the card and the rest had to be paid upon arrival, as stated in the booking conditions, and that this can not be changed under any circumstances. But they did not charge my card at all and my parents had to pay the whole amount themselves. This was very rude and dissapointing. Also, there is no wifi in the rooms, just in the common area.
The hotel has the most amazing location, the beach is right in front and the old town just a short walk away. The pool area is really nice too. Food was great, room clean and bed comfortable. My parents were happy with their stay and would come again.

SloveniaThere is an additional fee of a couple euros per day for parking at the premises. Breakfast is very tasty, with many options also for vegetarians, but for some reason fresh orange juice costs extra. Coffee is okay.
Checking-in and -out was flawless, location is excellent for travelling around not only with car but also on foot, great options for food and drinks nearby, nice view towards the seaside. The room was good for a short stay, very quiet and clean. There is also free electric car charging at the premises.

Parking costs extra - 3 eur/day. Wi-fi works only in the lobby areas. They don't except payment with euro only kuna. To the meal serving area only 1 coffee machine for the entire hotel. No restaurant in the hotel for dinner.
Location very good, nice lobby and pool area. Nice and clean everywhere. Playing zone for kids in the lobby. Close to the Porec town. You can also use the pools from the nearby hotels from Valamar chain.
