Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CroatiaWith dinner included in room price, no drinks are included with dinner - not even coffee or juice. Those are included with breakfast but not with dinner - I do not think that is OK.
Great location, lots of tennis courts in front of the hotel. Close to main Umag tennis court. Room was perfectly OK but nothing to be to excited about. Good food at the restaurant. OK swimming pool area but again - nothing to fancy.

United KingdomMaybe because it was out of season, but the pool when we arrived was only half full. Pool area was a little worn and could be spruced up. The images of the beach beds on the beach were non-existent. The beach wooden beds on the ground had no cushions in them.
The spa was so so lovely had so many things in there. We had a suite which was very spacious and opened right out to the large grounds and very short walk to the beach. Really enjoyed the suite, it came with dining table, sofa, TV, desk walking wardrobe and an additional separate toilet. Location was fantastic. Lots of amenities on site. Didn’t use the restaurant but looked big and over looked the pool. Pool was lovely - just had hardly any water in it. We only stayed for one night as we were only there for the gran Fondo race, however would have liked to spend another night or a whole day there to be able to make use of all the amenities and nearby activities. Secure Parking to use outside the hotel costs €5 extra per day. Parking a little further away is free.

CroatiaIt is not that we did not like stuff, but simply found that the facilities and the service overall are not worthy of a 5 star hotel classification...wellness centre, quality of food and drinks ...all decent but not 5 star

SloveniaWe missed something to hang on our coats and jackets in the bedroom. The fitness was pretty dirty. There are not enough chairs around the pool and in the sauna for all the people.

CroatiaThe food is not nearly close to 5 stars. We've had dinner and breakfast and there isn't some huge choice of different foods. Also the quality of the food is, in my opinion, just ok and nothing more, and it should be a lot better for a 5 star hotel. I've stayed in hotels with fewer stars and the food was a lot better than here. In general I think the hotel should have 4 stars, definitely not 5.
The staff was really nice and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean but in my opinion they could be a bit better to correlate with 5 stars. Also the spa is pretty good.

Sloveniaif you are hungry after 23:00 you can't find food in that area, it would be good to have some sandwiches or toast options from the bar.
inside pool was warm and nice Welness centre was also nice and clean. outside pool was very cold becasue of the season, but it would be nice to heatup water if they spend energy to use pumps for water circulation, so someone could use it.

Czech RepublicStrong feeling of saving costs by management, low quality ingredients. Coffee was a nightmare, both restaurant and lobby bar. I liked the variaty of food for breakfast & dinners, although it lacked taste - fortunately salt and pepper saved nearly everything. Beverages for dinners are not included and very overpriced. Beach equipment needs renovation.
I was nicely surprised. Definitely not 5* hotel, but still nice and great location. Rooms were spacious, comfy beds. Bathrooms could use deep clean, but still ok. Private beach is amazing! Close by and suitable for kids. Towels provided by hotel. Staff was amazing!

United KingdomThe swimming pool was cold and I feel that is not acceptable when you pay for a 5* hotel
A very laid back location and hotel, I've relaxed and unwound so easily. The food is very nice a wide variety to suit every pallet I was worried after seeing some reviews but I was really pleased with the food on offer. The location was quiet and scenic but not really close to umag, easily reached by the wee train at a cost of 4 euro each way.

AustriaThe breakfast buffet is great, but the breakfast dining room itself is huge and feels a bit like a mess hall/cantine.
The huge mature trees all around the property are gorgeous, and the gardens are well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful, and switch effortlessly among many different languages. The facility was bigger than we expected, but there are opportunities - at least when the weather cooperates - to find more private smaller spaces to relax. The seafood dinner we had at the hotel's Kasa Taverna restaurant was better than the one we had at a fish place in the Umag old town. It's helpful to be able to park (nearly free at one Euro per day) directly adjacent to the hotel.

CroatiaWe had a great experience at this hotel and we really liked it. The staff is really nice. No complaints here. The food was amazing. But what most of the reviews said this is a five star hotel but at certain points doesn’t seem like one. Starting with the room, the carpet was dirty at some areas, we found hair at the bath tub and on the floor, we weren’t bothered much cause we spent most of our time outside and in the spa area where we showered. The ceiling seemed like it was caving in at some points and the bed was really uncomfortable. I recommend you take the extra mattress topper in the closet and place it on the bed before you go to sleep. The outside pool looked dirty on the bottom, and if you don’t take your spot at the deck chairs in the morning unfortunately you will have no place to lay down. Luckily there is beach with plenty of room. All in all we had a really good experience and we recommend this hotel.
The staff and the food was amazing. From the start we entered the hotel we were welcomed warmly at the reception, really quick check in, the lady explained where is what. Once you get into the room there is s QR code you can scan for your room and it takes you to an “app” of a sort where you can request extra towels, sheets or pillows and they deliver it to your room. You can also check out the activities and sign up for programs such as yoga, circuit training and others. Outside there is a bar and a restaurant that is not related to the restaurant where you’d eat if you took dinner as a part of your stay. I strongly recommend the restaurant by the pool, food is really good with reasonable price. The lady that served us there was really kind. If you’re a meat person try the beefsteak it’s exceptional! The breakfast is also exceptional, so many choices and saw a lot vegetarian choices such as tofu and seitan. There is one gym outside that is specifically designed to for the activities you sign up for. But don’t worry there is one gym inside the spa area where you can work out on your own with various machines and dumbbells and also barbell, treadmill, squat machines, bicycle etc. once you get outside you go to the counter and ask for a towel I recommend you place a towel at the deck chair in the morning before breakfast cause if you don’t you won’t have any places left to chill by the pool afterwards. You can get drinks in a plastic cup and take them to the pool. Beach is really close too, and it’s a private beach mostly people who stayed at the hotel were there and there is a bar with food you can eat burgers sandwiches etc. Beach also has plenty of room. And you can ask the nice staff to find you a place if you don’t see any. The spa area inside was our favorite place. It’s not crowded, you can take towels there as well as many as you want, and sheets for the saunas.
