LOVED our room (room 002). The staff in the rec room and front desk were so helpful and warm. The room was VERY clean and spacious. The hall could do with some new carpets but everything else was wonderful. Exceptional value. Loved the location and view of the castle. Higly recommend.

Shower head holder was very loose, and two of the towel hooks on the bathroom wall were broken.

Those carpets are truly dreadful, dirty looking and ruining the overall vibe of the otherwise very pleasant hotel :) coffee provided at breakfast buffet was not good, but luckily they have a bar.

The rooms are comfy, the surroundings are amazing, the staff was pleasant and professional, the food was great (we ordered a la carte in the evening). The pool was a bit crowded as it is rather small for the full hotel capacity but it was peak season and all things considered they managed it quite well. They warned us of a wedding that was taking place there before we arrived which was very nice of them. We were not disturbed by the wedding - we didn't hear a thing. All family members liked it. Great value for money, fully recommended.

It is really sad there is no coffee/tea making spot in the rooms. But you can get tea in the sauna's relax room.

I wish I could have stayed longer!

I wanted to visit the beautiful Trakošćan castle and Hotel Trakošćan was the closest accommodation to the site. I booked a regular room, but thanks to Hotel Trakošćan and the Booking Genius program, I was given a room with a view of the castle. And what a view, I was hypnotized!! I could see the castle from the terrace of my room, but also from my bed!! (see photos). The room was a luxury, very well decorated and very well soundproofed. The breakfast was GREAT, very varied, with quality products, in a very spacious, quiet and pleasant dining room. Huge car parking place. And I don't want to forget to mention the hotel staff, a 10 for all of them. Thank you very much! Hvala!

Hotel is situated in beautiful scenery so we had our meals on a terrace with a view to the Trakošćan castle. Our room was at the back of the hotel building so all we can hear were birds chirping. The room was clean, however the shower hose was broken. The meals were correct, and the stuff were really helpful. There is a possibility for bike rental at the hotel, however there are no children bikes to rent.

quality of coffee in the bar is poor and low barista skills; pillow quality could be better in apartments; small and outdated TVs in the room; terrace furniture inadequate and outdated and could feature extra content.

apartment size and amenities were great; castle view by day and night is mesmerizing; terrace and room size are amazing; good quality breakfast and decent a la carte food; cleanliness in the room is impeccable.

The only disadvantage from couple's perspective is the fact that the double bed consisted of two separate mattresses, which tended to split and move aside during the night.

Great place to stay, next time we will stop probably for more than just one night. Sauna with panoramic view on the castle was wonderful, swimming pool also very nice. Not only delicious breakfast, but also really good a la carte evening meal in the hotel's restaurant. We did not have time to enjoy the gardens, but they also looked great.

The only thing I didn't like were the beds because there is an option to merge two single beds into one double, but they still separate, so that should be improved.

Rooms are great, staff is the best and breakfast was excellent!
