There was a birthday party taking place, the guest and live music was loud and could be inconvenient for some people, even though did not bother us at all arriving late and being tired we fell asleep immediately

The site says that smoking is forbidden in the room, but our room smelled like an ashtray. It was obvious that the staff tried to hide the smell with some kind of flavor sprayed on the curtains, but it made it even worse.

It was a secluded, cozy, quaint place with a scenic atmosphere.

The bedrooms and bed linen are dark and need lightening and updating, without losing the character. The bathroom shower curtain fell down and we needed to place it up higher. There was broken glass and a bra left in the wardrobe.

The rooms could have done with a little updating. Very small things like the light didn’t work in the bathroom so a lamp had been put in there. Missing curtains on the windows so had to use the shutters which squeaked in the morning. But it was such a charming beautiful place this almost didn’t matter! I would absolutely return :)

Huge pool! And very quiet most of the time. The staff were lovely and the location was stunning. Would recommend a car as so much to do close by but a little too far to walk especially with kids.

Nothing. The only complaint was that we had an early flight the following day and a member of staff said they were unable to provide breakfast as it didn’t start until after we were due to leave.

Piece of paradise in the countryside even though still very close to Rovinj for exploring. It was peaceful and we felt very comfortable. The restaurant also has some great food and we wished we would have stayed longer. Very refreshing to have the pool available and the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. Already tempted to go back!

Me and husband stayed here for a few nights and decided to buy property in the very same area. The villa has the most magnificent gardens and restaurant. Food is fabulous quality! Owners are super friendly and relaxed. It's the first time our dogs felt at home and we didn't have to stress about their whereabouts. Besides, location is perfect. Beautiful Bale centre is walking distance.

Our room was listed on booking as 25M2, but in reality it was maybe 14-15 m2, bathroom included. TV wasn't working even after someone came to fix it. Window shutters couldn't be hooked up to a wall or properly closed and wind was banging them to the walls - we had to call the staff to remove one and fix the other. There was no shower gel in the bathroom (just soap bars and small shampoos), and just one towel per person - we did only stay for two days so we didn't ask for more and we had our own toiletries, it wasn't really an issue. Birthday party was loud and we literally heard their singing (off key). I'd give it a 9 or 10 if it wasn't for broken TV and window shutters. Also, we had to call and ask for wifi password - why not write it somewhere in the room? Just a friendly suggestion. :)

Premises are wonderful, traditional rustic stone built, beautiful and spacious bathroom with tiles to die for, rustic style interior, comfy bed, pool, tidy lawn, villa surrounded by trees, restaurant, staff is friendly and helpful, we got a free meal due to the fact restaurant was pre-booked for birthday party, so we couldn't eat there (and weather was too bad to dine on the restaurant terrace. But we were served in our room without charge. They are also pet friendly so next time I'll bring a dog too. Food was delicious, we tried Istrian cheese and prosciutto, stuffed spicy peppers, baked olives, almonds, fried zucchinis...

The airconditioning broke down in the room. Although the staff was very nice, they kept making promises they didn't keep. We had the feeling that they didn't recognise it as a problem and that we had to constantly push for something to happen. But they were friendly and gave us an ventilator and after one day the airco was fixed, so finally all good. Also the windows in our room didn't shield the sun so there was a lot of light in the room very early at the morning.

The ambiance of Villa Lav was very relaxing. The swimmingpool was lovely and the outside dinning area was very romantic and beautiful! The food was very good and the wine as well. One of my favorite accomodation in Croatia!

Everything was amazing. Food was delitious and breakfast is just a must! Room was clean and confortable, just what you need on vacation. We spend most of our time by the pool area. Outdoors of villa was peaceful, quiet and perfect for relaxing. Owners were kind and always available. We will definitlly come back more than one time. This was by far our best location in Istria.

Considering the reviews I really expected more. Staff is a mixed bag, some of the staff was very kind and very pleasant while others were cold and ignorant at times. Breakfast way too small and too expensive compared to other hosts in the area. Prices of food and especially drinks in their restaurant are exaggerated and scammy. You can't really sleep well as they'll either have a private party until 1 in the morning, no quiet hours it seems, and sometimes will make a lot of noise as early as in the morning. The room was beautiful and clean on arrival, but we had 1 pair of towels for entire 3 night stay. Some of the things I mentioned could be forgiven if it was a cheaper stay but considering the money spent it was far from a good deal.

Mosquitoes-Net in the windows damaged with holes. All the night mosquitoes in the room. Big dissapointment from the dinner. The personal.in the kitchen without experience. They can't cook. So beautiful garden, and so terrible meals. I expected that the breakfast will be much better. No!!! 10 minutes waiting at the table without anything and then just the basic offer on the plate. I decided to purchase something in the market. For that price was my expectation much higher.

Nicely located with outdoor pool. Sufficient lounge chairs and a beautiful pergola in the garden. The food in the restaurant is tasty but rather pricey. The breakfast was monotonous and insufficient for 14 euros per person (our booking confirmation stated 10 euros per person). The room lived up to expectations. They had poor English knowledge, so we received little explanation, e.g. WIFI access. A tip could be to provide an explanation in English in the room.
