Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The room had everything we needed and more. The sisters want to create a home away from home and they succeeded.

The hotel is a family run konoba (inn) and all of the family members who I met were so warm and accommodating. I arrived in the evening after an exhausting bicycle ride across the island, so I really appreciated it when Natalia met me and led me to the inn, helped me store my bike securely, and then even offered me a glass of ice water. She also helped me get a paddle board outing arranged for the next day and even offered me a late checkout to make it easier. Breakfast was deluxe with eggs made to order and served in their relaxing courtyard. The inn is about 100 meters from the central plaza (reasonably accessible by bicycle). The restaurant was not officially opened yet for lunch or dinner because it was pre-season. However, they offered a lunch to me at a very good price and it felt like being invited into someone’s home for lunch. (the picture I added is a view of the courtyard from dinner at the restaurant next door)

United StatesWish we could have stayed longer!
Sun-filled, spacious room with everything we needed - and more. And a fabulous breakfast with fresh breads, homemade orange marmalade, delicious fresh fruit, eggs - in a lovely courtyard. We loved our room - with a small balcony overlooking this picturesque town. We had a very warm greeting with helpful information about e-bike rentals ( wonderful ride!), Hvar sights and restaurants, etc.

United StatesThere wasn't anything that we didn't like.
The breakfast was delicious and filling. Our host was very accommodating. I have a gluten issue and they made sure I had gluten free options. Our server was very friendly and wanted to please. The breakfast courtyard was very charming. The location was central. It was easily accessible to everywhere. Even though it was not on the beach, it was within walking distance. The stairs to the fortress (a must see as the view is spectacular!) was literally steps away from the hotel. Our room was huge! Very spacious and clean. The bed and couch were a bit worn, but not uncomfortable. Natalija, the owner/manager, was informative and helpful. It was a nice touch to be greeted at the ferry dock and escorted to the hotel. Overall it was a lovely experience and we would definitely recommend it to folks visiting Hvar!

United StatesI have no complaint to share with our experience at Villa Nora. The cathedral bells are an unexpected wake-up call at 6:30 am, but I don't think you could escape them anywhere in the town.
The proprietor, Natalija, was wonderful. She met us at the ferry and fed us breakfast each morning. She was a wealth of information about the island and was always available if we needed her assistance. The property was lovely; situated in the old city walls and a minute's walk from the cathedral square. The room was spacious and well lit.

United KingdomI'm not sure I could pick anything to criticise
The hotel is inside the old city streets and only two minutes walk from the main square, which was great. The room was large, comfortable and well furnished with windows on two sides. Modern bathroom and shower. The breakfast was excellent - more continental than cooked, but with fresh bread and homemade marmalade and a good supply of fruit and coffee. The place is run by two sisters who could not have been more friendly and helpful. I would happily recommend Villa Nora to my friends

How to begin here... the manager was awsome. She came to pick us up at the entrance of the town. She was super nice and gave us several tips and recommendations. Bedroom was comfortable and big, as expected. The breakfast was a delicious experience, all homemade, highly recomended. Great value for price. We would stay again.

FranceEverthing was perfect, nothing to complain about.
Great family-run place at a great location in the heart of the old town, with very friendly staff and an exceptional breakfast served on the terrasse. The lady who welcomed us went out of her way to meet us at the entry of the old town, helped us find a cheap parking nearby, carried part of our luggage and showed us the way to the accomodation. What a lovely surprise! The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet, the bed excellent. For breakfast we were offered eggs to our liking, fresh bread, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, home made cake and jams. Just superb! Don't miss to walk up to the fortification, it is worth the visit and you'll enjoy the great views.
