Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOnly breakfast available. Had to go find food and not much in the area unless you get a grab.
I liked my room, very comfortable. The pool was nice.

AustraliaThe room was ok but the bathroom was a bit dated. The shower had a curtain to block the window but it looked to be getting dirty/mouldy with age. The room also smelt a bit damp but if you leave your sliding door open it freshens it up. Also, no iron or ironing board in the room but you can ask reception for an iron (but still no ironing board).
The staff here were very helpful and friendly. Always willing to have a chat or give advice. We had a room on the ground floor with direct access to the pool. This meant we could use the pool anytime and weren't limited to the "pool hours". The pool was great and was good to get an early morning dip (we even had monkeys visit one morning). The location was great for us because we had a wedding to attend that was only 7 minutes away. The Adhiloka isn't in the busy area so we also appreciated the relaxing environment it gave. We didn't get to walk around this area as much as we would normally but we found that it was close to a convenient store, cafe, laundry service and massage spa.

United KingdomThe bathroom had glass walls and a thin swing-door. This wasn't great for privacy, especially when travelling with friends. There is a curtain to cover the glass walls but it still felt a bit weird.
This is a lovely hotel in Uluwatu, about a 15 minute scooter ride from the main places and beaches. The pool area is really nice and the free breakfast was good. Our twin room provided value for money, as it was quite spacious, with lots of storage, and nice-sized beds. The balcony was a bonus with a pretty view.

United KingdomLocation is quite far from the beaches (5-10 mins by bike). It's on the road so you hear traffic noise by the pool. Not many programmes in English on the TV. Room was a little tired-looking.
The bed was big and comfortable, the room was spacious and I liked my private terrace and steps down into the pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. Supermarket, laundry, massage place and a selection of restaurants all nearby.

PolandInternet stops working very often, sometimes every 5-10minutes. There is a lot of humidity in the room without the air conditioning on, that even your clothes smell bad after a while. The water in the sink wouldn't drain, the staff fixed it 6 times and after an hour I had the sink full of water again
Friendly staff, swimming pool.

Location is very strategic and the boys working here are exceptionally good. I didn’t have a two pin plug for my charger and they went out to buy it for us which was very thoughtful. Not to forget, breakfast was delicious as well. Everyone deserves a raise here.

United StatesJust a couple things to nitpick, but overall the place was great. There was construction happening behind the building, it wasn't noisy really, but it could be when you stay. There was a TV in the room, but it was useless, it had no channels.
The property was located kind of central in the Bukit peninsula, not a far drive from any beach I wanted to visit, and also the Uluwatu Temple. The room was nice, it was clean, and in the evening it was dark. The bed was comfortable. You need a keycard for the electric to work, but some of the outlets worked without it, so if you needed to charge a phone while you went out, you could do that. The balcony was big, with sun during the day, and on the top floor a bit of a view of the sea even. The pool was big, clean, and equipped with places for sitting.

CanadaThe finishing scent that is used on their pillow cases and towels was seriously noxious. So much so we had to take our pillow cases off and use our sarongs. Every time I used my shower towel I cringed when it neared my face. So bad.

FinlandThe AC blows directly to the bed and made my eyes feel itchy. However it's the only one downside and everything else was just perfect.
This hotel should be five stars hotel. I had a beautiful room upstairs that was facing the pool. Despite that the room felt private. Cleanliness of the room is top notch. There is kettle and free coffee & tea. Bed is big and not too hard as many other hotel beds in Bali. Pool area is so beautiful. It has white decor and pool is always clean. It feels luxurious. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They are always smiling and helping with everything you should need help with. Hotel has breakfast selection. Prices are affordable and the food is delicious.

GermanyNothing. Just a note to those who do not like to climb stairs, you should request for the rooms on the ground or 2nd floor.
The hotel has seen better days, but you can see much effort has been made to maintain the rooms and facilities in a very clean and fully functioning condition. Spacious room, comfortable bed with clean pillows and linen, very quiet at night, friendly and helpful staff. Special mention to Aditya, who assisted us on several occasions with scooter rental and our other queries. Also, kudos to the housekeeping guys who did a fantastic job whenever we requested our room to be cleaned. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay in Adhiloka and would definitely stay here again the next time we are back in Uluwatu.

ArmeniaThe bathroom. It's all old and decrepit, everything needs to be cleaned well or renovated. The gaps between the bed and the bedside tables were all covered in dust and cobwebs.
The staff is incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. I thank everyone! I took a room upstairs to viewing at the ocean and the trees. God, it's marvelous. I recommend taking rooms upstairs. In addition, you cannot be shy and do not cover the windows with curtains. Feel at home). A good mattress and pillows. Air conditioning is quiet. Great laundry nearby.
