Great location around good restaurants, bars, cheap laundry services and there’s a supermarket 1 minute away. Staff was very friendly and can help a lot with organizing the tourist stuff around. Also our room was very clean with a very comfy bed! All in all a very pleasant stay!

Little water pressure in the shower but just a minor issue.

Location, kindness of the staff and tidyness. Close to a lively area of restaurants and bars. We walked yo the Sultan's Palace in half an hour.

It exceeded any expectations. The owner of the place is a very kind person. Very helpful. The rest of the personnel as well, and very professional. Everybody speaks English. The place is spotless, one of the best hotel I have ever staied at, not only in Indonesia. Bed very comfortable. Scooter rental available. Perfect quiet location, walking distance to many good restaurants. Fantastico.

This place doesn’t provide shampoo which is totally fine but comes to mind. It’s a little bit in an alleyway which is lovely for privacy but sometimes hard for cars to find.

The people at the front desk were very helpful! The rooms were very clean and felt spacious in both the rooms and the lobby. We asked to stay an extra night and they were very accommodating as we switched rooms! Really grateful. The AC worked well!

Great value for the price! Extremely clean and well maintained. Friendly, helpful staff. Low key environment but close to batik market. Restaurants that cater to tourists around the corner. Laundry drop off a few feet away. Safe and quiet. Lovely little interior garden and coy pond. Lobby is a great place to open a laptop or notebook while enjoying a cup of coffee.

There is absolutely no soundproof. If you are a lightsleeper, simply avoid this place. The only window (in my room, and I'd say in most of the others as well) was the one to the inner yard, where cheerful fellow vacationers scream, laugh, chat or just pass by and all this can really get annoying. The muezzins'' calls at 4:30 from many mosques in the vicinity, will make sure no one misses the morning prayer time, especially guests of the soundprofless rooms at Aloha hotel. 2.5% charge on card payment, usual, but always annoying.

The location is very cosy. It's relatively far from the train station and the Malioboro street, but convenient and in the vicinity of many restaurants, those frequented mostly by westerners, as well as those more focused to the locals, both appealing. Staff is welcoming and smiley. Complimentary coffee and tea as well as tables where guests can eat their own meals with the food brought from outside is appreciated. Bed is comfortable.

The bathroom was a bit dated, but that didn’t bother us as it was clean and well maintained.

Great location on a quiet street right next to a touristic street filled with restaurants, a small supermarket, laundrette and art galleries. This was the only place we stayed on Java that we weren’t woken up by a mosque in the middle of the night! It was the perfect peaceful hideaway in a bustling city. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, so we felt very much at home staying here.
