How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Walls / windows weren’t very thick and you could hear outside and we felt we had to whisper at night in case we were too loud. Bed wasn’t super comfy, however we stayed an extra night and was moved to a bigger room and bed was a lot comfier!
Friendly staff who helped us sort out SIM cards, they also offered tours. Nice vibe at the hotel. Free tea & coffee

Good location in center. Cozy clean hotel. A lot of restaurants and warungs around. Very friendly and helpful staff. Helped me with SIM card, transfer to temples and advice. Highly recommend

As you can read from other reviews, the pipes in the bathroom do have a tendency to smell bad. But you just close the door and that’s it.
Really good location, it’s a quiet place but you can just walk 1min to the Main Street where you will find a lot of restaurants and bars. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is cleaned every day. The rates for renting a scooter are also reasonable 75k. Also the tours they display are good and reasonable. The tour company Kresna Tours was also nice.

There was no free water refill, but the price of the water was reasonable.
The beds were comfortable and the AC in the room worked great. The hotel is next to a street full of nice restaurants and bars so it was great that we didn't have to go far for a bite to eat.

Nothing to do with the rooms, water level in the fish pond seemed a little low for the fish
Great staff, room spacious, plenty of space for bags and personal items. Booked a tour through the staff who were very knowledgeable and helped figure out transport to our next destination

• nicest staff i have ever encountered during my 4 months travelling, that will go over and beyond to make sure you have a fantastic experience. • located on a small alley way off a main road which has a lot of food, laundry and grocery. • a very clean hostel, with a comfortable bed and a spacious room.

The staff were so incredibly nice and helpful, they offer great tours and they really helped us with figuring out what we wanted. We extended our stay a couple of nights because there is so much you can do out of Yogyakarta! Perfect location as well and they rent scooters.

10/10 great staff, great location off a quiet side street plenty of restaurants close by. One of the best hotels I've stayed in South East Asia. Ended up booking an extra 2 nights.

While the property was situated in a fantastic location it was also situated in a quiet back street which was perfect and was a 2 minute walk from a few high quality restaurants. The room was cleaned daily and the bed was comfortable. The WiFi worked well and the staff were very helpful.

Great accomodation, super clean rooms, hot shower, friendly staff. We rent a motorbike for a very good price. Hotel is next to the very nice street with a lots of bars and restaurant.

Extremely clean property with extremely friendly staff! Here you can experience true Indonesian hospitality. I travel a lot but these folks give it a very personal touch. Located in a quiet area - no noise around! Great job and great value for money 👍. I can totally recommend this place and will be back for sure.

I loved absolutely everything about staying here. Easy access to restaurants (Warung Heru was one of my favourites), Circle K, ATM and fruit stall nearby. Of particular note were the staff who are all absolutely wonderful. I will definitely stay here when I next find myself in wonderful Jogja
