we couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. beautiful hotel. Everything is thought to the detail. Amazing healthy breakfast. outstanding peaceful garden. Filipa the host provides the best tips and makes sure that the guests have the best experience in Canggu. We are definitely coming back!

We liked the location, the design of the hotel, which was thought out to the smallest detail. The interest of the hotel owner, Filipa, in welcoming us, informing us throughout our stay, made us extra enjoy our stay in Canngu. Everywhere was clean, all the treats were delicious. Especially the gluten-free options and their homemade bread made me very happy. We thank pilipa and her team for making us feel like at home. We look forward to coming back:)

We loved everything!

Had such a beautiful week-long stay here! We spent so long searching/ deciding where to stay (location and hotel-wise) and we were so happy with our decision to stay at Amar in Canggu. Rooms and pool area was so beautiful, tranquil, tropical garden, friendly & comfy. Loved our semi-outdoor (completely private) style ensuite in our rooms. We always looked forward to the breakfast every morning. The staff were all so lovely! Location was perfect. It is just a moments walk away from the beach with bars, beach clubs and amazing restaurants. Cannot fault our stay! Thank you Filippa and the Amar team

Canggu was our first stop of our Bali holiday. we were so lucky staying at AMAR. We got the most warm welcome of the owner. Not only the hospitality was outstanding, but also her care of making the most out of our holiday (even after our Canggu stop). The accommodation, including the pool, was beautiful, and very clean. Staff was super friendly en don’t get me started on the breakfast. AMAR thank you so much for everything.

This place is as beautiful as all the pictures and the staff are so gorgeous. Everyone is so helpful and kind. We had the best recommendations from Filipa on restaurants and the rooms were spotlessly clean and with everything you could want or need.

Amar Hotel was just 10 out of 10!Hidden gem in a quiet location yet 5min walk to the beach.You will find an amazing place to eat at right in front of the hotel. When we arrived at the Hotel Phillipa spent a good amount of time to great us and to give us the best recommendations where to go for food, things to do etc. The Hotel is Eco friendly and most of the furniture is hand made by the locals including the beds. Amazing place and we will be definitely coming back.Thank you for your hospitality.

We had a phenomenal stay at Amar Boutique Hotel. Filipa and her team are super nice and welcoming. we felt less like guests but more as friends. The vibe is amazing it was a perfect start into out Bali vacation. The hotel and rooms are very nice designed with a love to detail and provide an immediate feeling of cozinesses. The breakfast is outstanding.

The hotel had great vibes thanks to its owners and the people who worked there. The rooms were comfy and beach was at a walking distance. I especially loved the breakfast and chilling by the pool. I would love to visit again.

The cutest boutique hotel in a wonderful neighborhood in Canggu. Even before I arrived, the wonderful Amar team supported me with great communication to organise an airport pickup and the moment I stepped through the front gate to the property, within a stone throw to the beach, I was absolutely enamored by the impeccable hospitality, attention to detail and beauty. Everything is pretty and thought through, Filipa welcomed me and gave me so many amazing recommendations and organised whatever I needed help with. And the breakfast!!! I tend to pick my stays based on the breakfast and this was the most outstanding I had in a long time: the ultimate lovechild between a Portuguese and Balinese breakfast, with so much care and love for ingredients (best fruitbowl of my trip), just perfect, yummi and so generous! I first thought that the place was a bit out of the centre of Canggu, but it turns out that Pererenan has all the restaurants and nice places and within less than 5 minutes walk of the property you have access to a nice stretch of beach without the crowds and the center of Canggu is still very close. Felt absolutely pampered here (all the staff was incredibly kind and helpful too) and I did not want to leave. All in all the perfect arrival to Bali!

Amar boutique hotel is truly a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, Filipa made us feel part of the Amar family and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is great, just a short walk from Eco beach and close to some of the hottest restaurants in Perenenan. The rest of the Canggu spots are easily accessible by scooter. The breakfast is delicious and I loved the Balinese coffee free flow. Overall Amar was the perfect hotel, quiet but close enough to the Canggu buzz and we were taken care of so well. Thank you and hope to be back very soon!

There is nothing that I didn't like. Only the internet can be a bit of challenging, if you would like to do a business video call in the room. But we stayed in the Ocean suit. Perhaps that was a bit far part of the hotel.

Absolutely everything: the location of the hotel, external parts and our room (decoration, comfort, size), amazing staff, delicious breakfast! The owners are taking care of everyone and think of every details to the best.

The rooms had a ladder to the top floor which got in the way and to be honest looked very dangerous. No basic ammenities in room IE Fridge, Kettle. Also lacked atmosphere, even a little music by the pool would have helped. Over priced for what it was, felt like a shared villa.

It was very clean, very safe and secure, bed comfortable and relatively quiet.

The room was not private and felt like we were in a shared villa or dorm - you could hear every sound as we were next to the kitchen. The toilet was outside and the hand basins were inside next to the bed so very impractical. There was no fridge or kettle in the room to make a hot fresh tea. The bed was uncomfortable. The location was really disappointing - too far out - surrounded by building works ( opposite , behind and along the road) and the road was tricky to walk to anywhere in the dark. Running ditches / waste water meant that there were loads of mossies and other insects in the room. The pool area was very small and no cushions on Sun loungers so did not appear to be used. Breakfast was home cooked but limited selection. We booked as the ratings were good but guess this is just a huge expectation difference , especially as this was really expensive. Would not recommend. No orange juice or choice of juice and only Balinese coffee or a tea urn. Food selection was limited.

The place was very clean and the owner was friendly. The pool area and garden were clean and well presented. We arrived and then checked out as it was not what we expected.

- location didn’t work out for me… if you are not comfortable with a bike, then it might be challenging. but I can see it will be perfect for some who 1) don’t mind motor bike rides 2) who are mainly staying in Pererenan. - Noise from construction at times, noise from beach clubs on specifically on this one Saturday…3am, bring ear plugs!

- Clean, modern - sociable environments - aesthetically pleasing
