Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff were very friendly and the welcome drink on arrival was very refreshing. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. We liked both balconies....nice view of Mount Agung from one and although the other was over the road we enjoyed people watching and weren't really bothered by traffic noise! The garden was lovely with a nice swimming pool! Breakfast was delicious each morning. Amrita Villa was well located for a choice of nearby restaurants. Would also thoroughly recommend the rice field walking tour with Nyoman.

FinlandIf you are a light sleeper, lack of proper curtains might be an issue. On the other hand, the mornings are really pretty, so they are worth waking up early ;)
Amrita Villa was such a lovely place and worked perfectly for the peace and quiet I needed. You get the whole upstairs of the cafe for yourself with plenty of room and beautiful views to both directions. The pool in the quiet garden is a plus. Staff was super friendly and breakfast good. Very good herbal tea and excellent banana bread. Location is good, if you are not looking for a busy place. Several good warungs right next to the villa. Walking distance or a short scooter ride to the center of Sidemen.

United KingdomWe had a great stay in the house. Very clean, spacious and safe. The manager and staff that welcomed us were very nice. The breakfast was very tasty. The pool was nice too and only shared with the other room on site. And it’s 2 minutes walk to a few warungs.

AustraliaMy only suggestion would be comfier chairs and table for the balcony facing the road. The comfortable (and stylish) outside chairs like the ones at the bigger villa would be perfect!!!
I loved my stay at Amrita so much. I was in the upstairs room which is more like an apartment .. beautiful views to Mt Agung and over the valley .. other side also lovely views over rice terraces. Yes the road can be a little busy but I didn't find it a problem at all. I felt like I had my own little home .. the pool is wonderful to cool off and relax in. Lots of lovely warungs in walking distance. Hired a moped directly from Amrita .. everything was easy and I was very sad to leave. Amrita will always be my first choice when I come to Sidemen!!

SingaporeWe were in the superior room and one side faced gorgeous mt agung and the pool, the other was the main road so loud traffic was a bother.
Location close to everything. Delicious herbal teas at no charge. A darling dog to keep you company. Great little pool to cool down in.

RussiaNot sure what would be convenient location in Sideman but the one of the villa did not seem to be the one. Very basic breakfast which is ok for the price but the coffee which is included in the breakfast is undrinkable.
Very spacious traditional style villa which was very comfortable to stay at and nice pool to relax at. Very friendly host which we were happy to follow around the area for some trekking to learn more about the culture and traditions of the place.

United KingdomOwners don’t live there, just there during cafe opening hours, although given a contact number I could call at anytime.
Great size room with seating area and views to front and back. Lovely pool to cool off in. Good location for walking to local Warungs and spas with a few small shops. It is on a main road so be prepared for some traffic noise (bring ear plugs if this bothers you). Nyoman offers several tours - my friend and I took the moped tour for 2.5hrs and visited a waterfall, IKAT weaving and had a guided walk around the rice terraces. Highly recommend this as Nyoman is very knowledgeable and very accommodating (my friend needed a pharmacy and ATM and he took us to both). Greeted on arrival with a botanical tea (as was my friend who accompanied me but wasn’t staying there. Enjoyed having the resident dog around too. Nice pool to cool off in.

Villa is big, quiet and comfortable. People are so sweet and make a nice omelette and fruitjuice in the morning and loved the coffee and herbal icetea! Beautiful view of mt Agung in the morning and lovely to have a swimmingpool!

AustraliaI liked everything but a mini-bar in the king room would be awesome, and an iron would be good also.
The view from the king room is incredible. The pool is lovely and the gardens are nice. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the property’s dog is the cutest. Kudek’s breakfast and organic freshly made lemongrass tea from their garden is muntap. ( delicious in Balinese).

United KingdomWe liked everything!
Our stay at Amrita was a real succes. The view of mount Agung from our bedroom window and from the terrace, was stunning! On the other side of the building we enjoyed a wide view of green fields. The apartment / room was lovely and had everything we needed. Spacious with a comfortable bed and two terraces. A kettle, tea, a couch and a nice bathroom with warm water. The owners are lovely and helpful. They take such good care of their garden, their quiet cafe downstairs and the swimming pool. We really liked the small scale of their enterprise. Location is quiet. We rented one of their motorbikes and visited rice fields, waterfall and a few temples. We'd definitely go back if we were to visit Sidemen again!

United KingdomWe stayed for 6 days with our 9 month old baby. The villa is perfect, loads of space for him to crawl safely, a nice little pool to take a dip and the most incredible views of mt. Agung from the cafe and pool (and balcony if you stay in the room above the cafe - we were in the villa below). The team looked after us so well and were fantastic with our young son. We also had a great treck in the ricefields with Nyoman - highly recommend. The villa is located next to many excellent restaurants, resorts and warungs all within easy walking distance. You can get a day pass to the nearby fancier resorts which is great if you want more of a swim. The road is quiet and calm which was great for getting out for short walks with our baby. We had such a relaxing time here after the hecticness of Ubud and could easily have stayed longer. Thank you!

CanadaI liked everything
I loved everything about my stay. From the coziness and cleanliness of the place, to the wonderful service and hospitality of the owners. There are lots of hotels around the area, but personally I do not think they do justice to Sidemen’s true charm. If you wish for a more serene, quiet, authentic stay in Sidemen, look no further. Amrita villa is truly a hidden gem! Special thanks to Nyoman and his wife for taking care of me and for treating me with such kindness!

United StatesThe drain in the shower had drainage issues, and when brought to the manager's attention he said he would fix it. As we were there 2 nights, our room wasn't cleaned after the first night-although this wasn't a big deal for us. I still highly recommend this place!!
The King room with a view was lovely, especially as we could see the volcano only in the morning and the view of the terraced fields is amazing. The pool was a nice respite from the afternoon heat. This place is small-2 accommodations only! Breakfast, served downstairs was tasty. We took a nice hike (in the heat) with the hotel manager and learned about agricultural and cultural practices in the area.

SingaporeMuch higher transport + laundry costs but think that's in Sidemen in general. No GoJek or Grab here, they even have signs to tell you!
The view is sooooo stunning! Worth waking up early to see the sun illuminate this gorgeous view and all the birds swooping and soaring to greet the day! Feel so grateful to stay in the King Room on the second floor above the cafe. The herbal teas were super delicious especially the rosella orange one. Love the water dispenser in the room. So many restaurants literally 1-3 mins away, super convenient and appreciated they catered a Balinese vegan breakfast for me. Komang and Kusuma are so sweet, helpful, kind and considerate they felt like family and I miss them. The pool and deck chairs are relaxing too. Mahuid the dog made me feel safe at night and was a sweetheart. Missing Amrita already!

Amrita Villa is a very nice little Villa in the more "touristic" part of sidemen and the perfect location to visit the village. We stayed there for 3 nights and had a wonderful time in the bigger Villa. The place is super clean and you have more then enough space for 4 persons. Air con works perfect, pool is nice, breakfast was good and the staff is super friendly and helps you with everything you need (scooter-rental, driver to the next location and so on) We did the ricefield trekking tour with super nice Guide Nyoman and it was one of the best experiences on our whole Trip to bali so far. He told us so much about balinise culture, the plants and Sidemen and he brought us to wonderful places, we won't have seen without him - if you are in Sidemen you should definitly do the trekking tour with Nyoman :) We would definitly come back to Villa Amrita. Thanks for having us.
